Did I order the wrong size??

Hi -- 07 bride here. Not many of the 07 bride has ordered their dresses yet, so I am posting on 06 brides.

I just ordered my dress last night....but now I'm having second thought about the size.

My waist is 27 1/2.
Size 8 waist is 26 3/4.
Size 10 waist is 27 3/4.

I went with Size 10 because my weight usually fluctuate in the summer and winter and I will be likely at my same weight next year this time (my wedding date is March 2007).

Was I right? I just need some assurance. I'm small enough that I am told by friends NOT TO go on a diet.

Btw, alteration is a flat fee and so, they obviously will be able to take out the chest area and hem the bottom of the dress. And the hip size shouldn't matter b/c it's hidden anyway :)

ADDITIONAL QUESTION: CAN THEY FIX THE WAIST TOO????

I think you made the right decision. It's better that they take in than have to let out!!!! Don't worry everything will be fine!!!!

As long as you don't put on inches it looks fine. There is always room for alterations both ways so I wouldn't stress over it. I thought the size they ordered for me would be small, but it still feels huge on me so it will need to be taken in anyway.

It is easier to take in a dress than make it larger. I think you ordered the right size. My dress came in and it is too big around the waist and bust - and it is no problem taking it in

Yeah you are totally fine! I did the same thing, my weight flucuates a lot too!

what was the size of the sample you tried on? If you tried a 10 and it felt fine then you should be good. That's what I did. My sample was a 10 and was a tad loose, but felt right- so i ordered that size since it's easier to take in.

BTW- i totally stressed about it as well, but b/c i want to lose weight and was afraid of the alterations- but seamstresses are miracle workers and can make it look beatuiful.
