Did I pick the correct length for my cathedral layer?*fixed pic

I'm super excited because we finalized the design of my veil!! But now I'm worried- did I get the correct length for my cathedral layer?

Here's a pic of the train on my dress (not that you can call that a train!)

Now I'm worried- I went with 108' because I don't want it to be TOO long.....but I want it to be long enough for the appliques to be seen...could someone shed some light on this?

Here's a pic of the length of the train I'm ordering (not with the color appliques! mine are white

I can't see the pic but from what I have seen and heard 108' should be more than enough for a sweep train!

if it is too long...they can make it shorter! i did it w. my veil

My 'train' is the same as yours and I think I am going to go with a 106' cathedral.

wow what a beautiful veil....

my train looks similar to yours and i did the 108....
(You could always call the bridal shop and ask them the length of the triain) I went to my bridal shop and they measured it on me...

Thanks everyone!

Just to give you a preview of what Kathy Occansey will be doing with my veil- the first pic is the center of the veil, the second pic is what the sides will look like. The first pic she photoshopped some things out because I wanted it to be simpler- she'll be cutting the appliques to look like the pic. And she's adding crystals and rhinestones so that it's sparkly like the detail on my gown. WOOHOO! I love it!

Tara,

Look in my album...there is some pics of my cathedral length veil in there... it was the perfect length for the 'WOW' factor.... it looks to be about the same length as you're talking about but i never measured it...

I will be posting my review soon, so i'll have better pictures soon!

Perfect. Michelle Roth did a special on LIWeddings tv on picking out a veil. She said a cathedral length veil should go out atleast 1 foot pass the train of the dress. It is NOT suppose to be the same length as the dress.

I also have a cathedral veil and the proportions look like yours!!! VERY NICE

Thanks everyone! I'm so excited about it! What stinks is I have to have it shipped to my mom's so it might be a while til I see it! Kathy Occansey will send pics of the finished product though. Can't wait!!!

I'm so glad 108' is the right measurement- thanks!!!
