I don’t think you sent them out too early. I think it is fine. Some will wait to the last minute and others will respond right away. It is never too early in my honest opinion.

My friend's wedding is June 2nd and her invites went out like 3 weeks ago and my cousin is on June 3rd and I got his invite like 2 weeks ago. I wouldn't worry about it.

I mailed mine out two weeks ago and the wedding is June 2nd! I made the RSVP date April 21st, so I wanted to give about 5-6 weeks for people to get back to me. No one said it was too early.

Thats so funny -- my wedding is June 3rd, I sent mine out 2 weeks ago and my RSVP date is April 20th! great minds think alike.

heh, I sent ours out a month ago! (however, we did NOT send out save the dates, and also have a lot of OOT / out of country guests, and several guests who do A LOT of business travel and need a lot of notice about event specifics....)
as is, one person can come only out of luck! His business schedule for june was already full in january, and he'll be coincidentally coming back from the UK the day before our wedding...
So, it totally depends upon where your guests are, and how 'globe-trotting' their lifestyles are!

not IMO. I am getting married the day before you, my RSVP is May 4th and I plan on sending my invites out the end of the week (if I can get all the envelopes printed ! ! !) You are giving people a little over / just about a month to respond., that's fine.

I don't think its too early, you'll need your finally count in May. When is your RSVP for? You'r close to memorial day too, so this will give people plenty of time.

noo not too early, I did the same, i maied mine march 1st - my wedding is May 13th... one month to RSVP then a month from RSVP date to wedding...its fine =-)

I don't think that's early at all. Figure you want your RSVP's back at least 3 weeks before the wedding and it'll take up to a week for the invites to make it to most guests, that leaves around 6 weeks time for people to respond. I think you're just fine.
