I saw on the news yesterday morning that he might announce it, but I never checked back.

Re: Did Nader decide if he was running??
I heard that, too, but on SNL, of all places. I usually get my info from the real news, I swear, but they did a bit on their news and Jimmy Fallon said 'Nader will announce soon whether he will be running in 2004, which would allow Bush to win by three votes.'
I hope he doesn't. If not for him, Gore would be president right now. Bring back Ross Perot!!!!

Re: Did Nader decide if he was running??
I'm not sure he will have less or more supporters as he did in 2000, since he running independently, and not part of the the Green Party. It will be interesting to see. I think it's great that we don't have to vote as part of the 2 party system if we don't want to.
as much as I would like to see Bush out...I love Nader's enthusiasm to protect democracy and tear down the 2 party system...
if the democrats cannot win without an independent party running...then they have to reevaluate their platform and work for a better campaign to woo/lure more people...

Nader claims that his campaign will do more damage to the Republicans than to the Democrats. I'm not sure how true that is.
I'm also not sure if his campaign will do damage to anyone, considering he's barely done anything at all since his last campaign. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like he vanished from the public eye after the last election. I'm sure he still has some hardcore fans, though.

I will take anyone for Presidetn but Bush, I hope votes for Nader don't take away votes for the Democrats too, but I guess we will have to wait and see.
I agree that I don't thinkk we should have an only two party system. I want more then 2 choices for President

Nader is running... but the Dem's are beggin him not to. He won't have much of an effect as he did on Gore. He totally f----- Gore.

I personally don't think Nader will offset Kerry that much if at all. Dem's in my opinion should be galvanized and ready to vote. Then again .. so will the GOP.

this is unfair...Gore f-ed himself...
you can not blame not winning on someone else...Nader is doing democracy a huge favor by not cowering to these two big political parties...
If the dems want to win so bad- they have to step up to the plate and start taking some responsibility...blaming Nader is a LAME excuse...when you can't even win your home state!!! even MONDALE won his home state!!!

Gore did screw himself by not linking up closer with Clinton.. and losing TN was inexcuasble as the VP of a two-term incumbant president.. but Nader had a definite hand in costing him the election becuase Nader secured a lot of votes in Florida that would have gone to Gore in a two person race. Now I don't like the two party thing either.. I think they're both the same in the end.. both have special interests behind them.. one pretends to care about the average guy and they really don't.. the other prefers huge companies over the average guy. To say Nader, whose voters were mostly Dem's did not have an effect on Gore is not accurate in my opinion. And the Dems see the same thing happening again this year.

in an ideal world this is true, unfortunately most of the population consists of ill informed, naive sheep. i think nader will 'take away' votes and when the race is so close and the world in such turmoil it is REALLY IMPORTANT not to throw in a monkey wrench.
dean started the ball rolling, now we need someone else to continue. nader is not this person, but one can hope and dream he will drive a wedge and 'force' policy clarification of both parties...yeah, i wish...

I don't think it's fair to HAVE to vote for one of the 2 dominant parties. If there were only 2 choices for me to vote, then I would vote Democrat, but why should I *settle* and vote for someone (any of the democratic candidates) that I don't truly believe in? I also think that Dems need to stop blaming Nader and those who voted for them. Why don't they take a look at why people voted for him?
