Did the mets win last night?

And I give you props for your little speech there, Don .. I do agree with a lot of what you said, though it certainly does not diminish the fact that I love my Yankees nonetheless .. I love them thru the good and the bad, too (I know Yankee fans get a bad rap for loving them only b/c they win.. but that's not the case here)

---

and it don't stop me from hating them

Go Red Sox!!

Who me?

I never said anything bad about anyone's team.. hehe

But don't count out the Amazin's just yet..
AND... don't think that anything is a given. Still got to play the games my Yankees friends

If the Yanks should/ or should not make the WS, I'm looking for a part of Hawaii with no TV and radio so I may spend quality time with my new wifey. So there!

Right on Don...well put!

I must say that Jason Giambi looks pretty good...what a difference when you are off the steriods....

By the way does anyone here hate Barry Bonds??? Something about him I can't stand! He's so arrogant looking!!!!!!!!!

---

OMG .. Bedda, something we finally agree on??

I despise Barry Bonds. He's such an A$$ and always seems so bothered and annoyed all the time. I wish there was someone else who could hold the HR title with more HONOR than he does ....

---

I guess there are some things that met and yankee fans can agree on.....

I can't wait for someone to beat his record, and I wouldn't even mind if it were a yankee player. Barry Bonds is too conceited looking. He's got that 'noone is better than me' look on all the time.

rather than be annoyed at your hatred and venom for the Yankees, oddly enough I admire you for your passionate stance against them...

as I've said countless times on these boards, I don't necessarily agree with everyone on who they root for. But I admire a diehard fan of any team, even the hapless Mets.

GOOOOOOOOO PHILLIES

You just never know what the Amazins can do. Don't count them out. After all did anyone expect a team like the Florida Marlins to win the world series last year.

don't you mean go marlins? they're in first place

or are you still trying to forget the beating your boys took?

pretty boys and crybabies

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH

my shoulder hurts

make it stop joe

Don you crack me up!!!!

touche!.. very well said, good gentleman!

sniff sniff.. losing to the Marlins on your home field before a WS audience... sniff sniff

oh the shame.......

wouldn't it be funny if Pettitte clinches it for the Stros this year the same way Beckett did!

I've been warned not to bring a bag or to put your wallet in your back pockets because there are pick pocketers at yankee stadium.

I thought George was paying his players top dollar.....

you should bring a poncho too!
I was at a met/yankee game at Yankee stad. and some yankee fans were throwing food at these two Met fans!

No, I meant go PHILLIES because I think they'll be the team to beat ..

No issues with the Marlins , either ... they deserved to win. We can't win the world series every year, after all (and as a Met fan, you certainly live by that motto)

typical yankee fans.. grunting, groaning, throwing food.. no wonder they call it the Bronx Zoo!

makes sense, particularly in the bleachers, half of them are unemployed so they need what they can get

Well lets see... would I rather see my team lose in the World Series , while giving their fans an exciting ride?

Or would I rather witness my team sink to rockbottom, lose embarrassingly throughout the season, wind up down south by October.. And not even MAKE it to the World Series more than 2x in nearly 20 years?

Me, I'll chose a loss in the World Series. At least we can wear the AL Champ title proudly

I can hear Jorge Posada doing his best Marcia Brady impression:

OH MY NOSE!!!!
