Yesterday was my 1st time wedding dress shopping. I definitely did my homework on-line and basically had a very good idea of what things I wanted in a dress....well I get to the shop yesterday and I try on the 2nd dress and I think to myself - wow, I think this is it. Then I go outside of the dressing room and my mom says, wow, I think that is the one. Did anyone find 'the one' without all of the drama??????

Everyone says you go with the first one you tried on. I thought it was a joke, but my mother, cousin & I all bought our first ones! I actually went to 3 different stores and tried on tons, but I went back to the first one.

I kind of did. It was the second one I tried on. I only tried on more because I said what the heck, this is fun and you're only a bride once. I even tried on ones I knew I wouldn't wear. Just for kicks. (Guess I have no life, huh?)

How funny! I actually got the 1st one I tried on since I comapred everything to the first one. I tried on about 15 dresses for the same reason you did. I knew this was the only time I would ever have this opportunity to do something like this! I even tried on one of the most espensive dresses there (I went to Klienfeld's). It was so HEAVY! I couldn't imagine wearing that dress for more than the 5 minutes I had it on.
To the original poster and those of you who haven't gotten your dress yet... Just like when you knew about your FH, you will know about your dress. As soon as you put it on, or even try it back on after going back and forth a hundred times, you will know!

I found my dress when I wasn't looking. I was at Burton's doing flowers and my mom wanted to go upstairs to look at bridesmaid dresses and when we got up there I saw my dress pulled out and hanging my itself. I told my mother I wanted somehting like, she convinced me to try it on. We ordered it that day and I never looked at another dress. So technically, I never even went dress shopping. I had my first fitting the other day and I just love it!!

Ugh I wish!!!! I tried on about 30 dresses before finding the 'one'!!! I had no idea what i wanted so tried on a lot of different styles.

My dress was the second one I tried on...Loved the first one I tried on too. It's actually very common to fall in love with the first couple of dresses that u try on.

I ended up getting the first dress I tried on - you just know when it's the one.
