I let my Mom & Dad and my in-laws pick their tables that they sat at..we did the rest.

my inlaws did their own people i told them the number of people per table and they did all the arranging it was easier for me - i don't know their friends one less thing for me to do too!

I totally did not want that stress! I dropped it in my parents and FIL's laps. My parents did their people, IL's did theirs, we placed our friends.

Yes, My MIL and my mother helped us with the seating. We did half of it ourselves. Just needed to figure out where our parents friends should be seated.

we made an arrangement that we thought would work, then we copied it and gave i to each set of parents and they moved people that they thought should be moved. we then sat down with each set of parents and discussed the changes they made, we came up with some comprimises and a few tears and arguments later, came up with a seating arrangement almost everyone was almost happy with
it wasn't fun

i gave both sets of parents their own designated sections to place their friends and family in. jsut as long as everything's well organized by giving me the names for the placecards on time i'm cool.
