Did you do actual invites for the RD?

Did you do actual invites for the RD?

FMIL claims she has NEVER heard of such a thing, and RD's are word of mouth.

We are having 31 people -a ll immediate family and BP, but I think it is neccesary! I told her I will take care of them after the discussion - I think she thinks I am just making this stuff up!

eTA: and if you did - how did you send it...through the mail or with the invitations?

Hey! My FMIL sent invites. She picked them out and took care of everything and it was actually her idea. She put them in the mail.

FSIL is taking care of them for FMIL and they will be sent out whenever she takes care of it. I already sent out the invites and will be sending out breakfast invites tomorrow.

I know we plan on doing them. Word of mouth can get mixed up and you'll have people showing up at different times. This way there are no misunderstandings!

We're doing invites. Actually, a friend of mine was invited to a rehearsal dinner and there were no invites sent out. She found out a couple of days ago that she was invited and the dinner is tomorrow. I say send them so there is no confusion.

I'm talking to FMIL about it today, I was going to order them from Vistaprint.com

Word of mouth can definitely be misleading, and more people than you want could show up!

It depends how many people are coming to mine. If it is just the BP, readers and parents then I am going to skip the invites. If it is OOT guests, aunts, uncles, etc. then I will do them.

We have the stationery from the engagment party that never was left over, so I'll probably let my FMIL know she can use it. We'll probably send them out separately, closer to the wedding.
