I LOVED my hall and so happy I stayed with them but there are so many gorgeous halls out there!! A few I went to see even after I booked my hall and some I didnt learn about until I came on here but at that point it was too late since I had given my hall a big chunk of $$$. I know now that I made the right decision but just wondering if anyone else ever went through it.

We switched halls just TWENTY FIVE days before the wedding!!
Dude, that's crazy!!!
Tell me about it. Our first hall was a DISASTER but we didnt know just how bad til we went to do the menu!! We really didnt have a choice.
I called PJCC/Lombardi's the next day and I could not believe they had my date just 25 days before the wedding! It was fate.
Everything went so well you would have thought we planned to have it there all along.
I did have to send our revised invites and make lots of calls though LOL BUt everyone went to the right place...oh except for me, DH and bridal party because our s u c k y limo driver was taking us to the OLD hall - but everything else went perfect.

Yes. We booked another hall first and luckily was able to get back our deposit. We re-booked with NRC and NEVER thought twice about it.

Re: Did you ever second guess your hall choice??
Only thing I second guess about my hall is if we should have gone with a more economical choice. I know that in the end, we'll be pleased with it - but every now and then I get hung up on the fact that my reception alone is costing as much as some other brides' entire wedding budget combined.
And it's not like we're rolling in $$$t - our hall is a HUGE stretch for us, and it's only FI and I paying for the whole wedding. Sometimes I just ask myself WHY? But I'm sure I'll be happy in the end...

Yes! I was sooo happy too. The day couldnt have been more perfect.
My wedding was Nov. 27th so it was Nov. 2nd that we switched the hall! I posted a lot on LIW about it because I was freaking out But it was a very happy ending and we got our deposti back in full from the original hall!
A very happy we were!

NO! I LOVE my hall! Which is why I'm totally depressed I may have to give it up. I can no longer afford my wedding, so i don't know what to do!

Re: Did you ever second guess your hall choice??
I think it's normal. I second guessed EVERYTHING. I even had to go back to the bridal shop to try on my dress a few weeks after I bought it. I ended up being just as in love with it as I was the first time.
If I learned anything it was to trust your gut instinct. I wish I had when it came to my hall! I would have continued my search and ended up a lot happier!

The hall is one of the few things I'm COMPLETELY happy with.
But Soon2bmsz, why would you question this after your wedding? Especially if you really liked it...

Yes -and the only reason is the cost!

Re: Did you ever second guess your hall choice??
I'm jealous of the halls that only do one affair at a time - it's the one thing I would change about my hall. . . so yes, I second guess sometimes - but not enough to change.

I second guessed it only because of the cost. I loved EVERY minute of my wedding, but I did feel a little guilty spnding so much money on one night.

I constantly second-guess my choice. It's the most expensive part of the wedding and therefore I hope it will be totally worth it.

ALL THE TIME!!!
Its really sad, and I've already come to terms with it, but I am still second guessing. It bothers me that they do NUMEROUS weddings there! Also, the first time it looked gorgous, and from than one, either I've gotten used to it already or just stopped liking it.
oh well...

I felt this way at the beginning but quickly got over it. I also second guessed after hearing some rules that I was unhappy with. Over all I love my hall and can't wait for the wedding, since I know they will do an amazing job!

Re: Did you ever second guess your hall choice??
Well honestly yes, I did second guess my hall -- but only because I started taking to heart negative 'rumours' I'd heard , and started believing too much of what I read on these boards , which began to drive me crazy (don't get me wrong - LIWs is a valuable resource and I planned the wedding of my dreams via this website - but you do have to do your own research and take certain comments that you DO read with a grain of salt)
Thanks to the other TC brides on these boards, we would all commiserate about our worries and I realized a lot of it was CRA#, to be honest!
That said, anytime I would still be second-guessing and freaking out, I would drag DH back out to our hall , or arrange another meeting about something that was bothiering me ... and I'd take a quick peek inside our ballroom and outside by the water.. and I would fall in love with it all over again ... It would take me back to when I walked into our hall the 1st time, and I just KNEW like this was the place I was MEANT to have my reception --
It was truly an amazing day and I am so glad any silly doubts I have were unfounded . It was a perfect wedding

Re: Did you ever second guess your hall choice??
Nope. As an OTT bride, I didn't even see my hall and when my dad suggested it I knew it was perfect. I booked it immediately without regrets.
Edited to say: I have since seen my hall so I know I will be happy on the big day.

Yes! I'm an OOT bride so we didn't get a chance to check out too many halls. We went to CHCC and I was like, this is the ONE. I mean I even cried when I thought I couldn't get it. But then I started to second guess it because of some of the stuff I read on here. But now, I'm like I picked it for a reason so I'm trying not to get stressed. I'm just going to let my Banquet manager know my concerns.
what did you read on here about CHCC that made you second guess- what are your concerns? I think I am going to book there.
