Did you ever suddenly wonder if you picked the wrong reception hall?

Did you ever suddenly wonder if you picked the wrong reception hall?

I don't know, I woke up this morning and started freaking out. Maybe I picked the wrong place. Maybe it is terrible. Maybe it is too bright or too yicky or just too something. If anyone can give some reassuring words (or horrible truths) on Port Jefferson Country Club aka Lombardis on the Sound I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks soo much

BTW for all those who read my last post, FI and I are really trying to work things out. We have never had such intense conversations about our lives and how we were raised and stuff and I think last night we made some big progress. Also I am going to go to counseling and I am going to work on getting him to go too. We are also going to take a weekend away from everything and work on rebuilding from the ground up. Keep your fingers crossed and thanks again for everything you guys have said... I really took it to heart and I know that if things don't change I will move on with my life. You have all made me strong, thank you.

Lombardi's is a great venue. heard nothing but nice things about the place. you picked a wonderful venue!

you might be freaking out a little about the hall...because of the issues going on right now between you and FH. when things calm down a little more you should feel better.

when you sign the contract and everything, it can be a bit overwhelming. i mean i walked into my hall and just KNEW it was the place. we signed the contract, and for the next week or so, i did start getting that doubting feeling...cause i mean it's a lot of !! but the next time i walked in...i remembered why i chose the location. since then my feelings are always solidified the moment i enter the building!

good luck with everything!

I have had doubts because it is not a popular hall on here and I saw all the pretty places other brides pick.

But then went back and know I am truly happy!

Good to know things are workable with FH.

You have nothing to worry about-Lombardi's on the sound was the only place that I went to before picking my hall. The grounds are beautiful and I am sure the service is great. I have been to several weddings at Villa Lombardi's and the same cane be said about the food and service.

Lombardi's is great. You don't have anything to worry about.

Also, you are a brave girl to take steps towards your happiness. Sometimes we give up and say forget it when the going gets tough.

Don't ever settle, have confidence in your own decisions and yourself and never stop listening to each other.

I think Lombardi's is gorgeous! It was actually my second choice but it was a little too far but I know I would not have been disappointed. You made a great decision!

Funny, because I actually regret not chosing Lands End. I didn't because the guarantee was high and I wanted a small number of people. But my parents made the guest list huge and I could have had Lands End and I feel a little bad. AHHHHHHH!

Don't regret your decision. The view at Lombardi's is unbelievable and don't even get me started on all the food! And BTW, my FI has a little bit of your FI in him. I know what you're going through.

since i did pick the wrong hall and changed it 10 days prior to my wedding...(which wasn't easy)... but since you have alot of time since you are 06 + you have a suffolk county hall (i think), you can always get a refund 6 months prior to the event (by law). You should get what you want and not worry so much about other people's taste. Its your day, so have it your way.
