I want to register at Pier 1 but we can't do it online, we have to go there.. I asked my FI if he wanted to go, and he doesn't really seem enthused.. did your FH's go with you??? or did you go by your self?? I feel like we should do it together, but he hates shopping.. Just wondering if you went together

i think it depends on the store..
i could see men getting more bored in a store like pier one... they probably like a store where they can register electronics...tvs, vcrs, etc..

see, I hate home depot.. AND Won't go.. unless, it's for garden stuff.. so I can't get mad.. he said he'll come, but I feel like he'll be annoying.. I'm going by my self tomorrow.. screw it.. lol

We are going to go together to at least start. FH hates shopping too (imagine that) but he is very accomodating so he will go and make the best of it.
I am sure I will add plenty of stuff without him but since its going to be our stuff that we both use I want us to do it together.

I went with a friend. I saw girls there with their FI's and most of them were fighting! One girl I heard say, 'thanks for ruining this experience for me.' Unless he is into it dont drag him. If he wants to go its a different story.

My FI went with me. He definitely had more fun than I did. I have such a hard time making those decisions(like which color blender to get as if it matters) and he was so patient with me. He held onto the zapper thing though. It was like his remote control for the day.
p.s. - when we went there was a girl there with her mom and they fought constantly because the mother was trying to tell the daughter everything she wanted was wrong. So I wouldn't bring a mom.

yes... we registered at BBB together. he LOVED the scan gun... once your FH gets there and realizes he can shop but somebody else will be paying, he'll get into it!

We went together...we ALWAYS go together...AND it's almost always a pain in the neck...
I think that sometimes it's nice to go alone because you can get it done quicker.

I went with my mom,,,,,,,,,,,FH has no interest really in what glasses we pick out. He has a short attention span to so we would probably only be in the store for a half hour. Me and my mom made a day of it, went to lunch in between. My FH will tell me if he wants something on the registry and I'll put it on there.

I'm gonna go by myself.. FI wants to pick a lot of the music, and the favors.. etc.. so he can do 'his' things, that he likes.. he also had a big say in the hall.. so he is definately included in all decisions.. I guess, i can let him go on this.. lol.. I'll have fun anyway..

Oh WOW I guess I am marrying a Saint (haha he is anything but)
He loves to go and work on the regestry. We were engaged for 3 days and he asked if we could go to fortunoff's to register.
I just made sure that we did it in sections and a little at a time so that he didnt get crazy. The minute I felt he was getting a little Trigger happy with the scanner I was ok I am tired lets finish up. We registered in Fortunoff, BBB and Macys he even told the people at Macys that he didnt like their scanner and that BBB's gun was a lot nicer. More or less the whole BBB registery he did which is why there is a beer maker, a waterfall, shower puffs and stuff like that on it. Which is fine with me b/c anyone that knows us knows that is his personality. I just go on the fortunoff one every once in a while and add a few things here and there.
There is no need to tackle the whole thing in one day.

Yeah i dragged him along. Once we strted though he didnt mind, I think he actually kind of liked it - not that he would ever admit it!

I dragged him - And he ended up picking most of stuff- He always says he doesn't care or he's not interested until we get there and then he's the groom of the year. - If it's going to cause a major blowout fight, don't FORCE him .-

FH came with me for the first day at Fortunoffs...he basically picked the fun stuff. He actually really enjoyed the scanner...he was making me crack up!Then I went with my mom who helped me pick the necessary stuff. When I registered at Crate and Barrel, I went with two of my BM's and my mom.

Mine has gone with me every time we've gone to register, which has been quite a few times with adding stuff on and replacing stuff that has been discontinued. As long as I give him the scanner thingy, he's happy!

Mine came with me and thank God he did. I was soo overwhelmed being there and trying to choose which items to scan...UGH...I definately don't recommend going by yourself.
