I want to register at Pier 1 but we can't do it online, we have to go there.. I asked my FI if he wanted to go, and he doesn't really seem enthused.. did your FH's go with you??? or did you go by your self?? I feel like we should do it together, but he hates shopping.. Just wondering if you went together

What exactly are you getting - just stuff at Pier1 or other places too, for appliances? He'll definitely want to go to register for appliances (ie: men's toys).
My FH didn't want to register at all, thought it was rude to force people to buy things for us. I said 'it's a guideline'. He calmed down about it. Then when we went, (BBB and Macy's) he was all about using that damn scanner gun (another toy!). I didn't get to use it once. But he is the cook in the house and he knew better than I what to get in terms of knives and cookware. But when it came to towels and picture frames and linens he got bored. So I said no problem I'll go back myself. So it worked out in the end.
You should probably go to Pier1 yourself and do the applicances things with him.

what is up with those guys and the scanner things??? I havent registered yet but know FH is sorta looking forward to it.. only b/c hes already done my baby registry with me and went trigger happy all through babies r us lol

We didnt go yet, but when we do go we are going together. The stuff we register is for both of us, so why shouldn't we pick it out together?

FH and I went together for the everyday things - plates, flatware, pots&pans, glasses, blender, coffee pot, etc, etc. It was important for us to both like that stuff we see/use everyday.
I went with my mom to do Christal and China. He didn't care what I picked as long as I liked it. He said if he went he'd just be in the way because he likes plain, masculine things and knew I wanted something with a floral traditional design. And since I'm the one who cares about how my table looks when we have company, I should just go pick what I love without him interferring. He could care less what he eats off of as long as there is food on it! LOL
I still have to drag him back for bedding. That's something I think we should both like too.

We talked about it and when I said that I could just go with my mom he said GREAT like he was getting away with murder. My mom and I had such a great time together that it was neat to be able to do some things with her too. Im glad that I was able to do it that way.. After I showed him everything on the computer and just as I thought he said he liked everything

FH came with me to both places--only after I PROMISED he could hold the gun & scan everything!!! He is a chef & I am SOOOOOOOOO not....he had a blast picking out all the kitchen stuff & scanning it all while I followed HIM around clueless!!!

FH seemed reluctant to go with me but he decided to go. I thought that it was going to be torture but it was great having him there. He was actually very helpful and found a couple of great things to put on that I didn't even see. BTW, FH doesn't like shopping either unless it is for DVDs. You never know, he may end up surprising you in the end.

We went together but being that I had my own place for a long time, we don't need alot of stuff and I didn't want china, so it was pretty easy...I did alot of it online at Crate & Barrel and since it's right near my house I was there alot! He got bored after a while, and since I like all the home stuff anyway, I finished registering myself!

we went together, realized this was something we had to do by department b/c we liked so many things (some the same and some different- especially china/dishes)- i thinkit would have been a mess if he weren't there b/c i would have to change everything.
are you kiddin? he loved zapping stuff, I had to control him!

We went together. My FI is like the god of patience, I had him in the China department of Fortunoff for I kid you not, 4 HOURS!! We actually had a great time doing it together though.

MY FH has come with me each and every time we needed to add something to our registry. But I've noticed alot of brides registering either by themselves or with their mother.
