Did you get a lot of RSVPs in the last week or so?

I have a week and a half left until the RSVP date and less than half of my responses have come in. The vast majority of responses are from my side, and FH's side (OOTers) haven't really responded at all (a few exceptions).

I'm so nervous that FH's extended family will be RSVPing no or something.

I have heard people are TERRIBLE about sending in their responses... am I on track for having a week and a half left?

Yes, I know the date hasn't passed yet, but I really thought I'd get more responses back sooner. I'm just anxious!

I'm also so panicked about whether FH's extended family will come or not... I really hope they do. If they don't, we may be way below our minimum... and we've only heard from ONE of them!

Oh well. I can't make people respond sooner. I just wish I could know. I don't want to wait for my FMIL to call all these people if they don't respond. That could take years.

my wedding is on July 21st and the deadline for RSVP was June 1. we got about 10 that came late. i emailed a few friends to let them know that we didn't receive their RSVP and if they're coming (or not) they can email me back.
some friends said they sent it but we didn't receive them... some friends were trying to get the new first class stamp (we used the 39-cent stamp) to send back the RSVP. but i think the post office is still accepting the old stamps because most of the late replys had our original stamps on them.
anyway, don't worry! just make sure you follow up at some point.

We got a TON the last week... and honestly, we got the most RSVPs in the two days after our RSVP date!

we had to make MANY phone calls.... it's not fun, but people are silly when it comes to responding!

Okay, so I can at least be hopeful we'll get a lot next week... though with 4th of July...

I've heard so many people don't respond by the RSVP date. Ugh, I'm just so impatient!

I know that some of us tend to procastinate & wait last minute to send back RSVP's (I have gotten better - lol).

I would be so anxious to get the responses back also & it might take sometime to get some of the responses because of the 4th but just try to relax - hopefully you will get them all soon! Maybe your FMIL can start calling some of them & start reminding some OOT guest to start mailing them if they have not done it yet. GL!

I don't want to pester people for RSVPs before the response date... this is why I post my neuroses here!

I got most of my rsvp's in the last week but my response date passed last Friday and some people still haven't sent them back!

I did! My DH's relatives are terrible and wait for the last minute for everything. They waited until the last minute to get shower gifts, they waited until the last minute to respond to the engagement party, shower, and wedding.
They all came in the last week of the RSVP date or after it.
It didn't bother me all that much because I knew that would happen and because I didn't need to give it to them right away.
