Did you get bumped to First Class on the airplane because you were on your honeymoon?

If so/If not... which airline did you use?

I was going to book Jet Blue to Orlando, but I heard they don't have a First Class. Then there would be really NO chance of being bumped up? Anyone know which airline flies to Orlando that has a first class? Southwest, maybe?

Unfortunately, the airlines are all in trouble and are charging for EVERYTHING now, they aren't giving anything away. I heard they are going to start charging for aisle seats, emergency exit row and to check bags! It's crazy.

Not to mention you have to pay for snacks now too. They have the $1 snack pack and the $3 snack pack. It will be a matter of time before they start charging for a soda.

I don't know which airline that is but I've never had to pay for snacks. I just flew Virigin Atlantic to London and we got dinner, a light breakfast and on the way back got dinner, pretzels, juice/coffee/tea, and ice cream.

I used to work for JetBlue. The airline is wonderful, working there not so much, lol. The back of the plane has more legroom. You can look all this info up on the website to see the exact seat rows. Also, you can get as many snacks and drinks as you want. They don't limit you. I prefer to fly them. There planes are new, the inflight crew is nice and the TVs are great! Good luck.

we flew AA and didn't even ask. the flight was booked solid both ways, so moot point.

you still get a meal on Int'l flights at no charge. for now

That stinks. I thought that airlines still did this. Maybe the cruise ship will upgrade us to a suite. Okay, wishful thinking I know.

Neither Jet Blue nor Southwest has first class. It's really rare to get bumped into first class (free of charge) on most arilines these days because they usually offer first class upgrades to their frequent travelers first (i.e the people with TONS of airline miles). Since they'll offer upgrades to those people for a small number of miles, it's very rare that there are extra seats in first class these days. Other airlines, like Delta, will offer upgrades for a fee at the gate if seats are available (that way they still make a little more money). The upgrades are usually pretty inexpensive, so people go for it.

I've been bumped once (and I travel a TON for work) and it was only because I had an absolutely awful experience with a rude ticket agent on my way down (Long story, but I ended up missing my flight as a result of the rude ticket agent, so the guy at the gate somehow bumped me to first class for my return trip).

I have to say, first class is totally worth it. FH and I just bit the bullet and booked first class because we figured there was no way we would get bumped. Sadly, I think those days of airlines giving you something for nothing are over...

Jet Blue is by far the best flying experience out there...FH and I got to his mother's condo in Naples, FL every November and we fly Jet Blue from Boston to Ft. Myers (the other option is delta...blech!).

I also looooove those Terra chips they give out as snacks....Waaaaay better than pretzels!
