My sister in law gave a good point...you sometimes lose weight in the weeks before the wedding (or gain) so it's best to give the real date so your final fitting is as close as possible to the day of. I guess if you go to a reputable place it shouldn't matter...ugh so much to think about....my nerves!

I gave me real date when I went to RK bridal they said when they place orders they do not give the manufactor the real date. they change it by two weeks.

i gave my real date but then later read in a thread that a lot of girls give an earlier date.

I havent found my dress yet but i plan on telling them it's a month before the actual date

I haven't given my real date. i used a date 3 weeks before my wedding incase something happens.
