Nope - just our i-Pod with a butt-load of music on a playlist that we made up and it just played in the background...

I think it depends on where you have it and how many people. We didn't b/c it was at my house and we only had like 30 ppl.
Very good advice. We did. There are many issues with FH side of the family so we wanted to make sure we set the tone that this was to be fun & a happy occasion . DJ was a friend of one of my bridesmaids so he did lower his prices a bit. FM me if you want more info.

i didnt have an e-party but my friend used a dj for hers (fair amount of people at her parents' house) and took it as an opportunity to test out the dj she was going to use for the wedding.... it was almost like a trial run with grandpa complaining about how loud it was etc.

i had one at my eparty...we had about 110 people and the dj really got every1 dancing and gave away a lot of stuff....they def. made the party fun!!
