Like, I knew we were getting engaged because we went shopping for rings, but when he actually did it, I had no idea it was coming!! I was suspicious many times during that 4 month period... But he completely caught me off guard the day he proposed!!!!

I knew it was coming. I picked it out, and they made the mistake of saying when it would be ready in front of me.
I didn't know it was coming on 4/24... I thought it would be coming for my birthday on 5/6.

Had no clue…I could tell he was acting strange because we were in a hotel in London and all of a sudden, he decides we need to go to the park now because ‘house cleaning was on their way.” Like he literally just jumped up. I was trying to figure out if he had some ESP connection with housekeeping, lol.

My FH threw me off by doing it on HIS birthday right after we all went out to dinner. He said that was the only day he knew I wouldn't expect it - mainly bc I knew he had the ring. He never told me he got it but I knew he had some money in the bank and then suddenly it was gone

I had an idea. but then again I thought he was proposing for the past year especially for either last Xmas or last New Years. I didnt expect it on V-Day bc he has always said that was too cliche.

I can honestly say that I had no idea. I had no idea that he was ring shopping, and no idea that he was planning to propose. It was the best surprise of my life!!

I knew nothing. I never wanted to be a part of the ring buying, it took the romance out of it for me. I knew that we'd get engaged eventually, we'd been living together for 2 years, and had been together for 5, prior to getting engaged. He bought the ring, and orchestrated the proposal, all on his own. people kept asking, 'are you getting engaged soon??' And my response was that there was no way he could have bought me a ring, he had no money! He did it all without me knowing!

I really thought he would ask me when he got our families together..........for his 30th party. he didnt and i felt let down. So when he said we were going to Paris., I didnt set myself up for it.
But i had it in the back of my mind. Everyone said he would do it., but I didnt want to hear it.

We had discussed it but I really had no idea when he actually did it. We got engaged on May 12. I thought he might do it either when we were in Mexico in February or for my Birthday on May 30. In hindsight, he was acting a bit strange in the days preceding.....
