My FH threw me off by doing it on HIS birthday right after we all went out to dinner. He said that was the only day he knew I wouldn't expect it - mainly bc I knew he had the ring. He never told me he got it but I knew he had some money in the bank and then suddenly it was gone
We started to look at RH in November and we come home one day and got into an 'argument' because he'd never officially asked....of course he say's to me, you know when i'm going to do it, on my bday!
He thew me off by doing it the day BEFORE, which also happened to be my first day at my new job.

I knew it was coming. We went out to a really nice dinner on a random Thursday evening and then he suggested we walk home on the brooklyn bridge. I didn't exactly have to be a detective to figure that one out but it was so sweet I didn't care!

We had discussed it but I really had no idea when he actually did it. We got engaged on May 12. I thought he might do it either when we were in Mexico in February or for my Birthday on May 30. In hindsight, he was acting a bit strange in the days preceding.....
so weird, so many brides say FH was weird... I din't think mine was, bt we were away with friends, so i guess he had them as a distraction

My FH did the same thing only he threw himself a surprise b-day party...we went looking for rings so I knew it was coming but I didnt think he had money to do it...I thought it was coming in june...he did it in Jan in front of tons of people...I had no clue it was coming...he was acting quite strange for a few weeks before it happened...and we were fighting a lot...looking back I should have seen it coming

We had spoke about getting engaged maybe this summer, but was totally surpised when he popped the question while on Easter vacation with my whole family in the Bahamas!!! We went for a walk on the beach after dinner the frist nite we were there and asked me to be his wife!! It was perfected!!

no, not at first fh picked it out and then he couldnt hold it in anymore and said he bought me a ring then i waited 2 mos. to get it. it was hard being so patient, but he does things his way and when he's ready. it was so worth the wait................

fh asked me when we were on a cruise...and it happened to be the day that i received a phone call from the man i was dealin with for a new job...
so i got a new job and a fiance all on one day...in St johns in the caribbean!!!

We were talking about being engaged and married before hand. but I think every girl in a serious relationship who knows they want to spend the rest of their lives with the man they love talk about it haha
But I had NO CLUE. He suprised me by coming home the day before my 21st bday from being stationed in San Diego. He then took me to Tavern on the Green for my bday dinner and got a hotel in the city. I thought it was just because it was my 21st and he wanted to do something special. But he proposed as well.
Um..he was definitely acting strange though the whole wya into the city and the throughout dinner. He didnt even finish his steak- which is weird

I can honestly say that I had no idea. I had no idea that he was ring shopping, and no idea that he was planning to propose. It was the best surprise of my life!!

We talked about getting engaged but I didn't think it was going to happen until around or even after Christmas 2006. He definitely surprised me when he proposed in October 2006!
