I just got back from meeting with my florist (Lisa at the Milleridge -- who is incredibly sweet btw) and it seems that the flowers I have my heart set on are going to blow my budget.
According to her Callas (the little orange ones) are $8 a stem and b/c they are so small you need a lot to make the look!
So basically I'm cutting them out of my CPs and my BMs b'ks.
I'm keeping them in my b'k and on my cake -- but that means my cake is up $100!!!
Has anyone else had this problem with callas?

I love them too!! I doing my whole bo-k in the mango callas, boutinaires, and the bm's will have a mixture of callas and roses in their bo-k's. We went with Pedestals and I didn't think we got charged a crazy amount of money for using callas -- but once I knew I wanted them I just went with it

i am using pedestals too...oh yeah forgot about callas for the boutinaires.

I LOVE the look of callas so I am using it for my b-ok - mango callas, my FH bout, my mom's corsage & my FMIL's.....

I think Calla lilies and Orchid were the most expensive common use wedding flowers (of course there are more extoic flowers) So I am only using them in mine and my bm's boK and take them out of my CP..

we loved Pedestals!! we are using the raised CP's and Pedestals didn't recommend them for our CP's. Marcella felt the stems are too short on the mini-callas and the don't reach the water. they'll just be in the personals
