Our invites went out on Saturday and we already received 3 phone calls about why someone wasn't invited or why someone wasn't invited with a guest. with 274 people invited how many more could we invite/ How ridiculous?
One of my bm's called me - she is not family just a friend, and expressed her extreme hurt that her brother was not invited to my wedding. Can you believe this nonsense?? She was CRYING. i was so pissed i hung up on her.
Another one of my close cousins called and asked if seh could bring a friend- i was like, WHAT? i dont want strangers at my wedding.. We received 2 phone calls like this.
What the f is this? A free for all?
Sorry, had to vent.. Please tell me i'm not alone

I feel for you...and I am sure once our invites go out we will be hearing the same crap...and we are inviting 380 260 of which are fh's side...you definitely aren't alone

Seriously....I think its rude but for some reason, people assume things and when it doesnt happen, they complain. We didnt have anyone do that but we had PJ's parents who invited everyone under the sun without our permission.
Maybe you can tell them if you have enough NO's come in, then you can invite guests/brothers etc.
All I can give you is my open ear to vent as much as you want!!!!! PS- Dont feel guilty and dont let these people ruin your wedding!!!
PPS- why isnt my mother-in-law's first cousin invited?? HUH? Just Kidding!!!

I'm not surprised! My FSIL when she got married... there were people calling up her aunt asking why they weren't invited! I was shocked that people would do that, but it happens.
People know better than to call me and ask me stuff like that. I have no problem letting them know my feelings on that! (wow that makes me sound like such a b*tch doesn't it)? Oh well!

ugh! i hear ya! it's aggravating, i know. my mom wanted some ppl included .. i said we can't due to same old reasons. you know what she does?? i'm a softy when it comes to my gramma. everyone pretty much knows this. so my mom used the gramma card. she even had her call me. when it comes to my gramma (and any gramma) i have no backbone. all i could say is hang in there.

This is one thing I fear happening too. But Honestly I would NEVER have the balls to do that if I got invited w/o a guest! Especially if it is known that the person isn't dating someone! Let someone call me and be pissed!
