all your vendors in full before the wedding? I'm just realizing that we are paying video and photographer in full before. Is that odd? Do you normally pay half then half when you get the video and or photos?

I paid everything in full except video and photo. when i pick up the proofs I pay the rest!

yeah our videographer we only paid half, the other half we pay when we pick up our video. Photographer, most was paid only a portion when you pick up. And of course albums you dont pay for until you pick it up.

Our videographer was paid in full, but he was also dh cousin, so that wasn't a big deal since he did our whole wedding for $350.00
But for our photographer we paid 75% b4 the wedding and the remaining 25% once we received our album

a friend did our video so i paid him in full at the end of the night. Our photog we had to pay in full before that day. Which i don't think makes sense either, since i have nothing from them yet, except proofs!

I paid everything except the DJ and photographer. The DJ was paid on the day of the wedding and I finish paying the photographer after I pick out my photos.

we've paid 90% of the photo/video at this point and the last 10% after we get the proofs. We just paid up with the florist this weekend and we pay the balance of the DJ the day of the wedding.

i think out video is 2/3 up front...the deposit (1/3)and then a payment 1 month before (1/3)...the remaining 1/3 when we pick up the video.
the photographer was not much up front (we just had to leave a deposit (about 15%) and another small payment (about 20%) 10 days before the wedding)...the rest when we get the proofs.

every vendor will probably have their own way of doing things... for mine, I paid all but my DJ, String Quartet & Photo/Video in full. For DJ & Quartet I paid the remaining balance day-of. For Photo/Video I paid all but $1,000 before-hand. I plan on paying balance when I receive my albums & video.

We are paying 1/2 of the videographer now and the photographer requires the payment in full....i asked about that and I can't remember what his reasoning was...

photo we just owe a small amount after the wedding, the majority has been paid for already

I got my proofs a month ago.. and they're still working on my video.. partially my fault b/c i did not give them the songs i wanted.. but if your vendors are reputable, then i don't think you should worry..
