Im not sure what I pay for for my bridsmaids. Did you pay for their dresses, make up and hair, etc?

You know....this is why I bought the dresses for my girls. No one has complained about them and was was zero drama. Also, depending on what you have in mind you can get them really cheap. I am paying for make-up because my dresses were only $27....they retail for $200 at Ann Taylor but I got a great sale. Go recession! lol.
WHOAAA $27???!!!!!!! thats amazing!!! I really liked jim hjelm i think they go for around 200, but honestly makeup and hair is coming out to about the same per girl and even a little more, so i guess ill just wait and see which bm dress i decide to go with

i wanted to pay for hair or makeup for my girls...which do you girls think is more important. i have never been a BM so i have nothing to compare to...
( i am having my hair up- and was thinking having there hair down or half up- it that helps)

I didn't pay for my BP dresses or shoes. I did pay for their hair though....and I got them nice gifts and took them to lunch. They paid for their own makeup.

NOPE! I didn't pay for their dresses and I'm not requiring any special hair or makeup. Shoes I just wanted in a particular color which they seemed to have already anyway.

I paid for their manicures and pedicures , plus got them a gift. I didn't have them have to get their makeup and hair done if they didn't want to, therefore I didn't pay for it. I wish I could have, but I just couldn't afford it.

My BM will pay for their own dresses. If they want to get their hair and make up professionally done, they can go anywhere. I will buy them a gift though. I am leaning toward DOJ and something else.

I paid for part of their dresses and I'm only paying for hair/make-up for my mom and sister. Otherwise I'm getting everyone a separate gift.

I am only having a MOH, but I bought her dress and that's all I will be doing for the most part. She's going to pay for her makeup/hair. When I was in her wedding, I paid for my dress, makeup/hair and she got us day of clutches, jewelery, lotion and took us out to lunch. So basically it really varies.

When they accept it is understood that they pay for their own things. I will get them a really nice gift but thats about it. I also didnt require that they get their hair and make up dont by the person i choose. I just want them to email me what style they plan on wearing their hair and i asked for natural make up

I am not paying for their day-of hair and mu, nor did I pay for their dresses.... I have been a BM many times and have never had any of this paid for. But I am intent on giving them gifts they can reuse, not just jewelry for the day-of.

I am buying them their dresses as their gift. The dresses were expensive and I felt terrible asking them to pay for them.

I'm going to be doing henna for my wedding, so I will pay for that if they want to do it on their hands also. But they will be paying for their own dresses and hair/makeup. And I will be giving them gifts, so I think that is good enough.

I didnt pay for any of that. I bought them 14kt gold bracelets that were $$$ bucks, and took them out to a really nice restaurant 3 months after for a thank you / holiday get together and bought them all a nice bottle of wine too. I just wanted to say thank you again. I also didnt make it mandatory for the girls to get there hair done or make up. Only two girls got it done and you couldnt even tell the diff, everyone looked gorgeous. My SIL is getting married and I will be paying for my MOH dress myself and I will probably do my own make up and hair.

I just had a MOH and let her wear a dress she had. But if I had BM's I probably would have bought the dresses. It seems like it creates so much drama otherwise.

I got them not so expensive, but nice gifts, along with their DOJ (from overstock) and I am paying a friend or a friend to do all of our hair and makeup the day of and a mani-pedi the night before.
They are basically responisible for their dresses and their shoes. (I got them Old Navy flip-flops for dancing in during the Reception)
I have 7 girls so this will ultimately be kinda pricey, but per person it isn't too bad since i'm not going through a salon or a company.
