Did you/are you paying for your bach. party?

Right now we're in the process of planning my bach. party. We're talking about the prices of limos and its going to be $80pp...then we're going out to dinner, going out after.

I've never been in a bridal party before, so I dont know if my BP was planning on paying for me. This whole post probably sounds bad lol....so let me try and clarify- I dont mind paying for myself- in fact, that would be better since they're spending so much on the wedding, the shower, etc. But do you think they'll try and pay for me? Should I say anything?

I dont want to come off as a brat...or as though I expect them to- thats far from the truth.

I also need to know how much $$$ i need to put aside for the festivities!

Whenever I've been in a BP the bride hasn't paid for anything really. Except extra food and drinks if she wanted if it was a weekend thing.

You can just ask your MOH how much $ should you plan to have with you.

My cousin offered to pay for my ticket to the game... otherwise i would have paid for it myself...

the bus is being organized by my sister and she will collect money for that and beer and i guess everyone will just chip in a little extra for me... i mean with at least 20 to 30 people taking the bus it will be like an extra dollar a person! lol

Whenever I've gone to a bach party, regardless of if I was in the BP or not, all of the girls in the group chipped in for the bride's portion of the night!

Doesn't sound bratty at all!

This...I told my MOH I was willing to pay and she told me my money was no good.

I've been begging my MOH to let me help pay... she keeps fighting me and I feel horrible about it.

In the past when I've been in weddings or invited on a bach party whether or not I am in it. The bride usually doesn't pay or pays very little.

it's uncomfortable though, I hate my friends doing so much bc I feel bad. It's weird for me. I just say when their time comes I will do the same for them, and I gladly will.

Yeah, that's the kind of bach parties I've gone to...you're probably in the clear regarding money! I guess I'd just bring cash with me just in case though. I'm always prepared; I was a Girl Scout LOL.

Something OOT would probably be a different story, just because it'd be more pricey.

Since I had to be a brat and go to Vegas, I paid for my own flight/hotel. They did get me a limo and paid for dinner for me there though.

I guess that makes me a brat too.

I'm going to Vegas too. I paid my own flight and hotel also. I have a feeling that I'm not going to have to pay for a thing while I am there though.

One of my BM's are getting married two months before me. Her BP is in the city, and we are paying for her to go in.
My BP is away, so I am paying for my share of the house etc. I told them they can pay for my drinks at the bar when we go out but i will not let them pay for my travel, house share etc.

My girls didn't let me spend a dime that night

H E L L they wouldn't even let me hold my own purse or go change my shoes by myself. Instead one of my BM's made me sit down barefoot and wait for her to bring me my flats

fh and i paid for ourselves and planned it ( jack n jill) looking back, i feel as though the BP should have chipped in for us or at least OFFFERED.. but NOPE. it was 170 pp for an overnight cruise on NCL GEM, which i think is super reasonable. then again, no1 in my bp offered to even HELP me or ask how i was doing with any planning.. im sure ur girls are diff.

when u speak to ur moh.. tell her this is what u were thinking of doing for the bach party..limo, dinenr drinks.. u will prob sense it if they will be paying for u just by speaking to her.

the limo is alot b/c its an escalade and also its prom weekend.

Ditto! I refused to let my BP pay because we went to Cancun. They did, however, get me a massage while we were there.
