My dad passed away but he asked my mom while at a family party so he kinda asked my mom, brother and uncle which was nice

He did. He came over my parents' house on a Monday night when I was out to dinner with a friend. My mom, sister and brothers were also present when he asked. Ironically that night my friend and I were talking about when, if at all that year, he would propose!

He asked both of my parents. He treated them to dinner and when I came back from the bathroom my mom was crying and my dad, well he looked the same haha. They kept hugging me after, so I figured it out. It's been and still is a rough road for my parents and fh pretty sure it would have been bad if he didn't ask.

He took a half day from work and got home early when he knew both my parents would be home and I would still be at work. He waited until he had the ring already before asking and asked just two days later because he knew my family is terrible with secrets!

Yes. He came over and told my parents he was gonna ask me to marry him and he knows its tradition to ask for their permission and my mom said 'of course you have our permission!' And they hugged and cried and whatever and he showed them the ring. Then my dad shook his hand and said 'congratulations nick. Don't do it.' HA HA. Not funny dad.

No he did not. We've been with each other for 11yrs and he knows our family isn't the best with keeping secrets. The morning after we landed from Costa Rica where he proposed we went and told our parents in person. Know one was upset all that was said was... About time and hurry bc they wants grandchildren lol.

Yes he did. He took my dad out for lunch one day when FH was off and my dad had his lunch break. My dad had no idea why FH was asking him to go out for lunch he was clueless! lol but then he told him yes (reluctantly, since he doesn't want anyone taking his little girl from him haha).

I don't have a relationship with my dad but he took my mom out to dinner one night when he told me he was going out with his friends and asked her, not that he really needed her permission, he just knew she would love him asking her first.

Yes he did, he asked both my parents. He asked them on Christmas, almost a year before he actually ended up proposing lol.

yes and he went with my parents to pick out the ring and took them to lunch after!

Yes! He asked my mom if she and my dad wanted to meet him for lunch and she said 'just come over and do it already!' lol! They knew it was coming...he asked them both and proposed a month later...I'm shocked my dad actually kept a secret!

He more told my dad instead of asked lol.. My parents knew it was coming.. FH just wanted to make sure they were both available and would be there to see it.

Yes he did. My dad isn't a very traditional, sentimental kind of guy but my mom told FH to make sure he asks my dad's permission because she knew it would mean a lot to him. He told me he was going to his parent's house one night but instead went to my parent's house. My mom and brother were there too so he basically asked all 3 for permission.

I love all the stories on how these great guys asked!!! I was talking with FH last night about this and he claimed that most guys don't ask anymore. Just proved him wrong and scored a foot rub

Yes- he asked both my rents since we love with them. I believe it was just a casual conversation.
