ABSOLUTELY! I honestly dont know what i would have done if he hadnt - it was the first thing i asked after OMG, Yes!, and hyperventilating LOL
he asked just a few days before - the transit strike kept postponing it bc i kept coming home early from work. . . my mom started crying and my dad starting hugging him ( awkward moment!)
He basically said 'i promise i will take care of her and i will buy her a house' and my parents were soooo upset they were like ' we dont care about that as long as you love eachother!'
AND he went with my cousin's husband to get the ring - and to think i was complaining the whole week bc they were spending too much time together and ignoring me!!!
i am sooooooooo dumb! i actually asked if he was cheating on me! bc my cousin's husband told me they werent together bc he didnt know what FH told me

I did not get my ring as of yet, and he said that I can't go with him because he want to surprise me.
No, fh did not ask my parents. At our age we really didn't see the point. But they know and is very happy.

Fh asked my dad-and my dad said yes, then he trned to poor Joe and said-'Don't you want to be happy?' My dad just wanted to mess with him.

FH did everything on his own...and he didnt ask my family! I guess he hoped that they would be ok with it! of course they were...
but it was a total secret so no one slipped.

he asked my parents like a month before and then after he picked out the ring and everything he asked my mom to 'check if it was good enough' lol how cute is that

FH kind of told my Dad...He didnt ask permission,but said, ok, i'm ganna do it! I thought that was cute. Me and Fh picked out the ring together. I thought i was ganna get it for x-mas, so he did suprise me.

sorry to crash the 08 board but lol
gaetano didnt ask/tell my parents. he was tryin to talk to them for a week b4 he asked me, but i was always around n he wanted to tell them at the same time.....
2 days b4 he told my brother and his-but only bc i was at AC-lol.

My FH asked my father first and then went and told my mom. She didn't understand what he was asking at firs and then when she finally realized she started crying...
Its really funny I always thought I was be crying when he asked me but I didn't. HOWEVER, as soon as he told me how he asked my parents and my mom started crying and stuff I started
As for ring shopping, FH had me send him pictures of stuff I liked...I sent about 12 He brought my best friend and MOH for opinion of the ROCK itself, but had the setting designed from ideas he got from pics i sent him honestly I was very impressed with the way he did everything.
We need to get a thread going to flash these RINGS LADIES!!!!

He asked my parents in front of my aunt and uncle. My dad under his breath wen oh Sh*#t, (meaning now he has got to kick in some bucks) LOL... and told my FH yes. The FH was so nervous. lol

YES...the only person he asked was my dad out of respect because he knows my dad is old school Italian style...he didn't want to mention anything to my mom because he wanted it to be a surprise for her.
But as in people who knew it was going to happen...his immediate family and our close friends knew. And from my family only my dad and my cousin that Rocco is close with knew.
