OMG! Why must they be so rough! I went to see if I was dialating and I asked the Dr can he PLEASE show a little sensitivity...the pain alone could have set off labor!
Was this normal?

Hell yes! My doc warned me first and told me it would feel like he was reaching for my tonsils. He wasn't kidding. I swear, I was trying to be brave and my eyes welled up with tears. And it was worse to hear 'no progress, you are not dilated or effaced'. Hang in there,I only had 2 before he arrives, so maybe they do begin labor!

I have not had any children yet, we are TTC, but my friend did and after the first exam she ended up going into labor, it was a rough exam. She was happy she did not have to go thru another internal. And her labor was short.... stay positive...

When I went to the woman OBGYN where my Dr is it did. I was walking funny for a few days. I was in so much pain. I told my doctor NEVER AGAIN with her.
