Did/Didn't use videography? Any regrets?

Original post by melissas28

Good rainy afternoon!
I am undecided about getting a video done. For anyone who didn't get a videographer- do you regret not having a video?

If you did get a videographer, do you think it was worth it?

We had one and it was totally worth it. We have both lost people after our wedding and see them on the video having a great time are wonderful memories that we have of them.

We had one...didn't even realize the guy was there.
I would've regretted it if we didn't have it...because so there so many things that I do not remember about the day.

I CAN NOT WAIT to see the video!!!!!

There was a bride recently married, she posted on Newlyweds that she loved her proofs, but wished she had a video!

There is always a possibility that after the wedding you will regret NOT having a video, but after the wedding you will NEVER say, wow I wish I did not have this!

There will be people on your video who will no longer be with you in the future...having these happy memories with them in it is Priceless !

Showing your future children your wedding day...priceless!

I know the videographer was there, but he never bothered me...my FIL didnt even know we had one...thats how discreet he was...yet he got every moment captured...

I do want a video but I feel as though it is quite expensive for something I'm going to watch once!! Maybe a few times but after a year of marraige am I really going to watch it a lot? I'm just not sure if the cost is justified.

the only thing left after the wedding are your memories, photos and video... I would skimp on something else to get a video...

Ray from timeless treasures is reasonable! I used him, I know his prices have gone up since I booked, but he was wonderful!

Thanks everyone.

I did end up booking a videographer, and I am really excited! He did my close friends' wedding. He never got in our way, in fact he seemed helpful. So I booked with him and he was able to work with me on budget.

FH stil doesn't think we need one but let me go with it!
