Did/do your playlists consist of....

a lot of 80's music? I was going over my list and noticed I had a lot of 80's. Is that bad?

What do most people expect to dance to at a wedding...I have only been to 2!

I don't think I'm going to have 'a lot' of anything. I want to try and keep things balanced. I think an 80's section of the night is good, but I think too much of anything isn't really good because you want to appease all different groups of people.

you should have whatever music you want ... but make sure it's good dancing music

I'm old and grew up in the 80s so I'm having it! hahah i'm also having 90s freestyle. that's my thing.

I am having a huge mix of 50's till now music. If it was all up to me I woul have all Classic Rock but I dont think everyone would appreciate that. If it was up to FH we would have the Mets game on in the background and no music!

we want a lot of oldies (50s/60s), motown, 80s, 90s alternative and hip hop.....we dont really want music from today. hahhaha

do what you like! people love dancing to 80s!

oohh I love Freestyle! I did my senior year term paper on it...I have no idea how I passed...lol

Other than wedding related songs (First dance, entrances, father daughter, mother son, cake cutting, etc) I'm not going to have a must play list. Just a do not playlist. The DJ will see what the guests are liking and not liking and play the music that keeps them dancing. Plus I've always heard DJs hate being told what to play, bc whats the point of them being there if every song is going to be dictated? It's like an over priced iPod then!!! LOL!!!!

Do I have to give my DJ an actual playlist???? or is it more of a 'don't play this........... and we like this kind of stuff......'

I'm suuuuch a freestyle girl!!! However, there will prob be only like 2 others at my wedding who will appreciate it.. :(
