So how do I approach 2 couples who didn't give me gifts?
I am not for sure 1 (my cousin who I don't have the greatest relationship with) even gave me a card and the other said she would put the card in the mail, cuz she 'forgot it'.
So should I ask her(my cousin) about it in case by chance 'I' lost it? What do I say?

I wouldn't say anything, unless you REALLY think you may have lost it.

Some people don't believe in giving gifts on the day of the wedding. This has happened to a couple of friends of mine.
Apparently, you have up to one year to give a gift? I've never heard of this but people have told my friend who got married recently this.
They did give them a gift, but it was 6 months later....

I would't say anything. I didn't receive some, but by the time we got back from our honeymoon they came in the mail.

That's a tough one.I think it would be awkward to ask but it is very rude to go and not give a gift.
As for the person who forgot, it happens.

Re: didnt get gifts from...
She actually text me today and mentioned that she forgot the card at home and will mail it!
Considering she got married less than a year ago and I traveled allllll the way to Ohio for her bridal shower, then alllll the way to california for her wedding, I was a little put off that i didnt get anything but Glad she mentioned it before I did LOL

I wouldnt say anything....I think I would send a 'thanking you for shaing my special day' card, with hopes of sparking their memory to send a gift...

I know you want gifts and it's generally expected- however, no one is obligated to give you a gift. Yes they should and it's the right thing to do but there's no obligation that they HAVE to. I've always given bc it's proper etiquette but it does get expensive after a while- fiancé and I have 3 weddings to attend this year, that is over $1000 just in checks for the couples.

I wouldn't say anything either its just not worth it. All you can do is hope they forgot but regardless this will just remind you when they invite you to one of their functions...In fact this happened to my sister and she was so eager to say something but she held back because situations like these can create problems.

It baffles me how people can show up empty handed. Very rude. Perhaps no one is obligated to give a gift but they are also not obligated to attend. Save the dates go out months in advance and a little budgeting each week can go a long way. And if someone truly has financial difficulties at the very least, they can write the couple a nice note, card, or do something from the heart. I've also heard of people offering their time to help the couple i.e., painting a new house, decorating, moving, babysitting etc.

I agree DB!
Although I know no one is OBLIGATED to give a gift, I think its just rude to show up empty handed.
Even if i go to just a backyard BBQ, I bring something. Be it a bottle of wine, a dessert, or something, But thats just me.
