I didnt send out my thank you cards yet because I'm waiting on my photographer's pictures I've been married for 23 days is that bad? I bought some regular thank you cards and I'm going to send those out first and when we get our pro pics I will make another cards and send that out.

I was married on June 28th and due to issues with my photographer, i just sent them out on Saturday. You still have plenty of time!!

we sent out regular thank yous because we didn't want to wait for the pro pics either- it just was going to take too long, and in my opinion, I think a thank you should be sent within 4-7 weeks (MAX) of a wedding, or else its like too late IMO. Like one time DH and i got a thank you 8 months after the fact and we were like this is just irrelevent now. So, anyway, we are saving the pics from the photographer to send with our xmas cards instead.

lol i was married in the end of july and mine only went out about 2 weeks ago! had to wait for pro pics and then to have them printed....then shipped to us... lol oh well

um, i got married in July and haven't sent mine out yet.
It's not the same etiquette as normal thank you cards, people except them to come months later, don't even worry about it.

Got married in May and I just finished sending mine out mid/Oct.
It took me a while to get back into the swing of 'wedding' things, now for my album......

Ok so I did half of my thank you cards yesterday. I'm going to send out the pro pic one as soon as I get them... I think I'm crazy but I wanted to cover all the bases!

I just sent mine out about 2 weeks ago. You have up to 1 year to send them. Everyone knows you have to wait for your pro pics. Don't stress it.

i had my TYs in hand about 6 weeks after the wedding, and i waited 5 months to send them out. yes, i'm bad!

proper etiquette wise - you DON'T have a year to send them. you have 6-8 weeks.
guests have a year to send you a gift however.
definitely deposit the gift checks you got b/c checks do expire from what i understand.
ETA: In not saying you are bad if you wait a while. guests realize nowadays that it takes awhile for the pics to come in etc.
