oh something else i do... i buy turkey sausage from trader joes (they make different varieties) and i cook that with fresh veggies (brocolli, mushrooms, and baby tomatoes) and put a little bit of marinara sauce on it. it is GREAT and so filling!
almonds are also great (raw almonds, not roasted). raw almonds are healthy b/c they retain the good fatty acids which lower your cholesterol and really fill you up!

Re: DIET Menu- Help
try this website for some more ideas...i used to go on here a lot and they are great!
check out this website.... www.hungrygirl.com... great tips there.
*100 Calorie Jello Pudding... YUM!! *12 grain bread with peanut butter (not necessarily low car, but there's a lot of fiber there, so it'll fill ya up... my personal fave!) *South Beach Wrap Kits. They're really great. They have different versions: Turkey Bacon Wrap, Southwest Wrap, Chicken Ceasar Wrap, Sesame Chicken Wrap. It's near the pickles in the grocery store. *Any 100 Calorie pack you can't go wrong with! *Any fish! The tuna that comes in the single serving pack is great over salad. *Lean Cuisines. Don't be fooled, they're actually really good. My faves... any of the Paninis, Sante Fe Style Rice and Beans, Sweedish Meatballs. *Slow Churn Ice Cream. It's half the fat and soooooooo good! Just gotta stick to the serving size (I think 1 serving is 3 Weight Watchers points). Try the Fudge Tracks kind. *Apples with Peanut Butter... YUMMO is all I'm going to say! *Kellog's makes these All Bran bars. They can be for breakfast or snack (they're two WW points). They come in Honey Oats (tastes like Cheerios), Maple Sugar, and Oatmeal Rains... all so good!!! *Weight Control Oatmeal is good and filling!!!
I think that's all I can come up with for now... I'm hungry though now... geeez!!
HTH! Good luck!

Re: DIET Menu- Help
yeah the chicken gets annoying, constantly grilled chicken salad, grilled chicken w/ veggies, I also make grilled chicken with onions and peppers on whole wheat pita bread, its very good.
Add tuna, it has alot of protein
I ate alot of seafood too but also have to be careful what you cook it with.
They say pork chops is good, just pan sear it, i actually saw it being used as a diet recipe on a show
they say to eat alot of beans.
Peanuts are a good snack...Oranges are great too as a snack, fills you up and holds you over until your next meal.
Cook food with extra-virgin olive oil not vegetable oil

Re: DIET Menu- Help
I'm big on eating cottage cheese and low fat yogurts for snacks (I loveee Dannon lite and fit!) And probably my fave meal, if you like seafood, I love to grill salmon with some spices and have it with some steamed veggies (broccolli is my fave!) and maybe some brown rice for dinner... I'm also a big pasta fan, I can't help it... I just always make sure I eat whole wheat pastas!

I wanted to add... make sure you're tuna is in water... try not to eat too much of it because while it's good for you... too much of a good thing and then it becomes not so good for you anymore.

Re: DIET Menu- Help
another thing that i make sometimes that is actually good is mashed cauliflower (it tastes sorta like mashed potatoes)
you can just buy frozen cauliflower and over cook it in the microwave...then out it into the blender add a little bit of milk, butter, and seasoning to your liking (i use salt, pepper, a little garlic, and a little onion powder)...blend it.....and it is great! good substitute for mashed potatoes

Re: DIET Menu- Help
I eat eggwhites everyday...I eat it for lunch at work...I also get it on the weekend alot too for breakfast...on weekends i get the eggwhite whole wheat wrap with turkey bacon and fat free swiss.
Alot of times, I also eat whole wheat toast with peanut butter.
eat fruit
Drink LOTS and LOTS of water. Stop drinking soda...and even if you drink diet soda, have very little of it. That sugar in diet soda is no good for you either

Re: DIET Menu- Help
I make veggie pita pizzas.... if you buy soy pita bread, or whole wheat pita then you add a little of reduced fat ragu and some reduced fat mozzerella shredded cheese and mushrooms, green peppers and red onion....put in oven for 5-10 minutes.....delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
