Diet Pills?

So I need to lose about 20 lbs in the next 3 months, and I just can't get into WW. I have lost a lot of weight on it in the past, but I can't seem to get myself completely back on track this time.

Have any of the diet pills / supplements worked for anyone in the past? Any bad side effects from any of them?

Re: Diet Pills?

I would personally not reccomend any of them b/c they speed up yur heart rate, trick your metabolism, and you will gain the weight back as soon as you stop taking them. I know how tempting it is to think there is a quick fix....but I am skeptical. JMO

Good Luck!!!!!!!!

Re: Diet Pills?

I used to live on diet pills, xenadrine, apple cider, nighttime pills, anything you can think of I tried! I do not recommend them! I am now trying to lose the weight naturally.

A few weeks ago, a bride mentioned that these pills screwed up her thyroid, I have to believe that that is true, because all of a sudden I have to take medication for my thyroid for the rest of my life! NOT fun!

Be careful! Speak to a doctor if you REALLY need to lose this weight quick!

Re: Diet Pills?

I'm trying WW but it's not working as fast as I would like. So now I'm paranoid that I'm not going to lose the weight in time for my dress fittings. The biggest problem is that I went through a pretty stressful period shortly after ordering my dress, gained 15 lbs. and now I'm really worried the dress won't fit.

I'll just have to try to get to the gym more often and pray that WW will start to melt the pounds off faster.

Re: Diet Pills?

No diet pills please.

I donot trust them. They really seem unsafe.

Just work on your willpower, stick with WW, put in over time at the Gym, do alot of walking.

Good luck!!!!

Re: Diet Pills?

I second everyone on here and would recommend staying away from diet pills. I dont care what they tell you, they are not safe. Id rather be a few lbs overweight than have health problems for the rest of my life for trying to lose 10 lbs

I would definately speak to a doctor...there are many diet solutions out there you can try.

Re: Diet Pills?

Please stay away from diet pills!!! I am not a doctor but I'm a nurse and see how many problems they can cause. They speed up your heart, can cause arrythmias (irregular heart beats), as well as liver and kidney damage. Being thin is not worth all trouble.

Re: Diet Pills?

Same as OctBride .. I've been on all those pills before and please do not take them. They are not good for you, make you nervous, jittery, could mess up your stomach as well as your thyroid!

Exercise and a proper diet is the best way to lose. If I do need to lose a few pounds quicker, I cut a lot of my carbs ... most of it is water weight but you will feel and look thinner. Although, I don't recommend this as your diet. It's a short term thing that I do!

I've been on the Zone diet, which I think is a good way of eaing (similar to Bill Philips book) .. Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Daisy Fuentes ... all have done this. Maybe you just need a new diet venue other than WW.

Good luck and please be careful!

Re: Diet Pills?

I don't think pills are the way to go..You should just stick to cutting out fatty foods and work out more.

Re: Diet Pills?

I dont recommend them
I tried hydro cut for almost two months if you dont take it w/ food, which is what they recommend, it makes you sick and nauseaus a lot
plus when you stop taking them you gain a few pounds I did
its not worth it
it did work, I lost almost ten lbs but in the long run your better off just watching what you eat and going to the gym more often
