Diet pills......prescription/

I heard that there is such thing as prescription diet pills. Does anyone know a doctor who is familiar and comfortable with them?

Diet and excercise are not doing it for me...and the more I try, the more discouraged and upset I'm getting.

I was obese as a young teen, then became too thin.....then i went on the pill for health reasons and met FH, and now I feel like I can't keep weight off. My greatest fear is that I'll gain more weight when I go on the pill again, or become pregnant.

I know the routine.......diet, eat right, high fiber and excersise, but I need something to help aid.

Please let me know if you know a doctor who is comfortable with them.

Okay..just rec. a doctor in general......i'm tired of seeing mine in Brooklyn anyway.

Before you resort to diet pills go to your doctor. Diet pills can cause heart issues among other things. Go to you primary care for a checkup. Ask you doctor to check your glucose and insulin levels. If the ratio is off that may be the reason why diet and exercise doesn't work. You can have normal blood sugar levels but if you insulin is off then the normal sugar level means nothing. Also go to you gyn and ask for a hormone workup as prep for a baby. Insulin is actually a hormone and when it is off it can efftect your fertility. You may not need a diet pill you may just need help keeping your insulin levels at normal levels. Besides most doctors won't prescribe diet pills unless you are morbidly obese. I go to a doctor in babylon but he is anti diet pills. Good luck
