Ok so as I said, i order my dress and there is this muslin thingy that POB makes to save $$ on future alterations... Bottom line*** I need to be in ideal bride weight by October...ahhhhh
Im good at losing weight with fads and stuff.. atkins is like my two week before an event trick, however, actual weight loss programs are not my strong suit... until now (well starting tomorrow lol)
what do you suggest? weight watchers? jenny craig? what do you, my fab ladies of LIW, suggest?

Re: Diet suggestions
FH just joined WW and he already lost 3 lbs, just over the course of a week. I can't say it's better than any other diet because it's the only one I really know but everyone I speak to loves WW.

I suggest weight watchers! Ive lost 30lbs and kept it off. I need to lose 2 more lbs to reach my goal wedding weight. Best part is, Ive kept it off! Its about balancing your exercise and portion control. Good luck!

Re: Diet suggestions
I'm on South Beach, but it's not really a diet, it's a lifestyle change. I'm very happy with it and I don't miss any of the banned foods. I slip from time to time, but that's ok. The food is great and if you like cooking for yourself and not eating packaged food, this might be your best bet, especially for the money.
WW never worked for me. I was always hungry and I gained weight instead of losing (and I never cheated believe it or not).

Re: Diet suggestions
i started on south beach and have since incorporated the changes into my life. I also cut my calorie intake and hit the gym 5-6 times a week, doing pretty intense cardio (at least for me). Ive lost about 17 lbs in a little over 2 months.
I also keep a food/workout journal... ive never been able to lose weight without it. I keep track of all of my food intake and workouts, it really helps to keep me on track. i cheat once in a while but as long as i have a good week, it doesn't really affect me.

Re: Diet suggestions
Definitely Weight Watchers. I lost 35lbs. But quit and gained it all back
However, after trying on dresses for the first time yesterday and looking at the pics afterward, looks like I'm going back

Cardio and lots of it. If I go to the gym two weeks before anything I jump on the elliptical and can lose two dress sizes

Re: Diet suggestions
honestly its just a matter of changing your eating habits. i've added fiber to my diet & more protein. makes you feel full. it worked. i have lost about 10 pounds. also, i don 't deprive myself of foods. once i week usually on the weekend i will eat what i want (i.e. pizza, burger) i won't overdue it. lots of exercise too
good luck

WW. It really isn't a diet, but a life style change. It helps you eat healthy - portion control, incorporating all kinds of activity - and you keep it off. I lost over 30 pounds 5 years ago and have kept it off.

Re: Diet suggestions
I've always used slim fast. I actually love the way it tastes. I lost 50 pounds with it in 2004 kept it all off until this past winter (I gained 15 lbs) but now that I am back on it I have lost 5 lbs in 2 weeks

Re: Diet suggestions
I agree with Danni and the other South Beach poster. I've lost 40 pounds since September. I eat Bday cake ONLY on my bday or kids bdays and have holiday meals. Other than that, I don't cheat and I feel better.
Good luck!
