Is anyone taking supplements like slimquick etc to help them loose weight? If so, is it working?

Most of them are bad and have insane side effects... but I have used SlimQuick and I honestly didn't feel any insane side effects. Also they have these green pills.... They are like vegetable supplements... so if you don't get all your veggies in you can take some of them... they are all natural and not so bad for you either. I think if you read labels, do research, and stick to more vitamin natural supplements it's not as bad as Stackers or any of those other insane ones! I took a few stackers once.... and went insane walking around this huge park with my heart pounding out of my chest... and I was shaking sooo badly.. but I couldn't stop moving. They were like crack! That's not such a nice feeling.

Yeah i have been doing slimQuick and I don't feel those crazy side effects either. Either way, I am starting the shred and MAJOR diet on January 2nd :)

Years ago I used to work for a Diet Doctor/Phychiatrist (ha ha, he treated fat people and schizophrenic people!)... any way... alli works like Meridia did. It just blocks your fat intake... so the more fat you eat the more it blocks and thus the more 'oily' your stools will be. It works...but you would still have to diet and exercise along with it.. and they aren't the most healthy of things to take. I must say though.. that when Phen Phen was on the market... the weight loss was UNIMAGINABLE!!!! These people were losing like 10lbs a week! They were dropping weight like crazy! But then we all saw what happened with that stuff. Phen Phen was composed of 2 different drugs.. and one of them is still legal with a RX. It's the combination of the 2 that makes it bad.

yeah it's phentermine that is still legal. there are some people at work who are seeing a diet doctor in commack who is prescribing that stuff. Who was the doctor that you worked for (funny that he was a diet doc AND psychiatrist............I wonder if it is the same guy).

His name was Dr. Tobing. This was years and years ago... like 1998/1999! He prescribed Phentermine alone once the other Phen (haha whatever it was called) was made illegal. But the weight loss went from like 10 lbs or more a week to like 1 or 2 lbs a week. It just didn't work as well. He also prescribed the other now illegal drug... i think it started with an R I think but I can't recall what it was called. He used to give out water pills so you pee contantly and don't retain water. I wish I had some of those now! Is the Phentermine working for your co-workers? Do they feel any side effects? I had a friend who went to Dr. Tobing and used them years and years ago. But she stopped since then.
