Hi Ladies - I have been *** for a while -- things have been extremely crazy at work the last month or so, and I have no time for anything other than my job lately. However i really need to share this with you b/c it made me laugh and you will totally appreciate it!
Anyway - so I received a bunch of gift certificates to bloomingdales for our engagement party and i have been purchasing things sporatically off our registry. Anyway I saw a few things went on sale and purchased them, one of which are really pretty Arthur Court Design trivets. Well aparently they are all sold out and my order was cancelled. I emailed FH to tell him how said I was that a- our order was cancelled and b- we needed to find new and equally pretty trivets. His reponse... 'What is a trivet.'
Oh boys!!!

Looked it up - yay for wikipedia! It's basically like a metal potholder...to rest hot pots on.
Phew. Back to being a girl!

Haha omg I can't believe so many people didn't know about trivets. You girls make me laugh!!
Now that you know what they are you can register for them because obvs you must have one for your kitchen! They come in cork and other heat protecting materials but the ones I liked were metal.
I told fh I will only refer to them as 'the things you put hot pots and pans on'. Oh boy.

LOL! I have to admit, I didn't know what a trivet was until I saw it in person.

hahahahahahaha. I've had to explain a duvet cover, mattress pad, pillow ticks, and thread count to him, and that was only in the bedding section! Forget it when I asked him whether we needed the 5-speed blender, or whether the 4-speed would suffice!

Okay what the eff is a pillow tick?!
How have I lived on my own for 5+ years and never heard of these things?!
