I need opinions. I wanted to have all my bridesmaids wear the same dress in the same color but I am kind of having a mixed feeling about how shopping is going to be. They all have different budgets...all different incomes....and I don't want them to be disgruntled about having to buy a dress because I like it for my wedding. What do you all think about bridesmaids wearing different dresses? I am not sure if I would want them to be like different colors or all the same color. I am not completely ruling out different colors because the wedding is in the fall since that is my fav month and my fav thing about that month is that all the leaves are all different colors before they fall. I wanted uniform in the beginning because I thought that it was a wedding and that was more formal but they even did the cool different dress thing in the Sex and the City movie....what are some other opinions on this?
I originally was just going to pick color and fabric and let the 3 BMs decide what style they wanted. My 2 sisters fell in love with the same dress and rather than have 2 in the same and 1 different, I made the decision to have FSIL in the same dress. FSIL didn't get a choice since she livesi n FL and didn't come shopping with us....
I have my girls wearing different dresses because they have different personalities, different body types, and different skin tones. I want their dress to reflect them. My two Maid of Honors are opposites one is tall and pear shape and the other is short and thin. I rather let them wear something that they are comfortable in. Plus, I'm trying to be as nontraditional as possible in my wedding.
I think that as long as the different colors compliment each other (like a fall color palette) it could work in different colors. I want them to be comfortable in their dress. I have also thought of picking a solid color like brown or black to make it easy but i will keep the options open so i don't get totally stressed out when we are trying to find dresses for them. thanks girls!!
