different print type on invites v. reply card?

different print type on invites v. reply card?

Is it terrible to get the invites printed -- probably thermography... but then do the other items myself on a laser printer? I would use the same font of course.

Would it look bad? Or could I get away with it?

i definitely think you can get away with it! they're not keeping the rsvp card anyway.

btw, are you making the invites yourself? if so, what pricing are you getting for thermography printing?

I had the invites done in thermography. I ended up having them print the RSVPs also just because the price at the print ship was right (my invites were mostly DIY, I had a shop do the thermo. for me). I did the direction cards myself on my printer at home, and also did the addresses on the outer envelopes. The return address and the RSVP envelopes were done by the printer, but were flat-print. (I used pocketfolds, therefore no inner envelope, I put names on the pocketfolds by hand).

I would have done the RSVPs myslef, but I got a good deal on the printing and it saved me from worrying about cardstock in my printer.

Bottom line, I think different print is fine as long as the fonts and design and colors match. You end up with all the RSVPs in the end, anyway!
