Different Wedding Gown

Different Wedding Gown

I'm looking for a non strapless different wedding gown, and I can't seem to find one that I like. Does anyone have any ideas of wehre I can go? Or any pictures of classy, different looking bridal gowns?

Thanks so much :)

It's pretty difficult to find a dress with straps. I wanted one. You can add straps to any dress. That's what I'm doing.

I hope this posts. It's a pic of mine. it's a halter top - I fell in love with it. Wasn't looking for a ballgown. It's from Davids.

I hope these post! If not, definitly check out the Pronovias collection-- they have a ton of different, beautiful dresses with straps, halters, etc...

Also their flagship store in NYC is great!

I didn't have a hard time finding halter top dresses. Here are some photos of me in my gown:

I tried this one on - but it just wasn't for me...they have it at RK Bridal I know - it's a Christina Wu (style 5479)....

Once you find a dress you like, it can be altered...
I will be making my own mini sleeves to cover up my tattoos.....my tailor said she is giving me a layout to copy from at my first fitting. YAY!

I found it hard to find sleeves that didn't look like it was an after thought (caps on the dresses I liked looked stupid) so I had them make a bolero jacket. I have to say I LOVED IT!

Do you know what style you are looking for or material?

There was a beautiful dress at paradise bridal that I almost chose. I don't know the designer though. It had straps and a sweetheart neckline and the top was made of raw silk. It was a beautiful dress.

Jim Hjelm has a few gorgeous gowns with straps. Mine was halter and I had it changed so it's not anymore and that worked out great. I don't have pics up yet but the neckline looks like this kind of.

Re: Different Wedding Gown

I know that in most dress stores I have been to lately they have been willing to add sleeves or straps..I mean it might not be what you are looking for but it's worth a try

Re: Different Wedding Gown

My friend is getting married 2/1, she ordered an exclusive by Allure dress from RK Bridal, and the designer agreed to have 3/4 sleeves put onto the dress when they made it. It cost a little more because of the customization, but the dress started off strapless.

If you find a dress you like and want sleeves or straps put on, have the store check with the designer, they may be able to make changes and alter it for you

Re: Different Wedding Gown

Thanks so much everyone! The dresses look beautiful. I don't necessarily want a non strapless I guess, but just a dress that looks different than the usual. I saw one the I loved with a high neck in a video when I was at my videographers house, and it jsut made me think that it would be nice to have something different. Thanks so much for all your help!
