I went to the dermatologist this past weekend and he prescribed this for me...my acne isn't really that bad every since I went back on the pill about 4 mos. ago and I'm kinda afraid to use this gel after reading reviews about it.

Re: Differin gel
i used it growing up, i never really got a lot of acne, but i never even wanted to see one, differin really got rid of them within a day or two of treatment.
no complaints here!

Re: Differin gel
It's REALLY good!
My MOH gets it for me from her derm (he always seems to give her way more than she needs, so she kindly passes it along )
If you're gonna be consistent with it, the results can be great! Unfortuantely, I'm not super consistent with it, but I like how it works when I use it!
HTH!

Do you have sensitive skin? My skin is very sensitive and prone to redness...I just don't want to look like a lobster!

Re: Differin gel
Good stuff - i get the free samples from my mom as she works for a derm.
Spot treatments are great and it doesn't get red - i have sensitive skin. I put it on at night and the zit has shrunk by the morning.
Ususally good to put it on after you wash your face with warm water so your pores are open.

Re: Differin gel
I have incredibly sensitive skin and have been dealing with bad acne since I was 16 years old. My derm put me on differin and I love it. I saw a difference and still use it today.

Re: Differin gel
I had bad acne for a very long time and Differin didn't really work for me. I had class 3 acne, class 4 being the worst. I found that now as an adult with oily skin and some breakouts that Retin A Micro .04% worked wonders! No redness, less oil, fast results also. Proactive works pretty good too, but myskin is still oily with Proactive.

Re: Differin gel
I was on it in HS - I had TERRIBLE acne and it cleared me up! The only down side is that you can't really go in the sun - if I was out and forgot to put sunscreen on I would BURN!!!

I have really nice skin but my on freaked when I started to break out do to athletics. So she took me to the doc who have me this. It got rid of the zits but also got rid of my top layer of skin. If you have super sensitive skin I would try it out on a small area for at least a week before using on your face. JMO
