Digital Albums?
I've been calling photography vendors, and they all keep mentioning digital albums. Has anyone ever gotten one as a part of their photo package? They seem a bit expensive, but if they are really impressive, i'm willing to spend the money...

Re: Digital Albums?
They are more expensive lol I don't have one (obviously cause im not married yet) but my photographer showed me a sample, it was nice..its sort of like a story book, where the pictures are imprinted on the page instead of being slid in or mantled on the page. I liked it, but it wasn't my taste (and didnt want to spend an extra 1000-1500 for it!), i like the more traditional album!

Re: Digital Albums?
i liked it. it was really different, but depending on the places we've gone to so far for photographers the digital album was 1000-3500 more! its nice, but something i can totally live without.

Re: Digital Albums?
i think its ok priceexample..i was going to use a high end photographer (veiwpoint - huntington) but for close to the price (less), i went to patken to get what i wanted (ditital/cofoee table style book)
i would look at patken and duet
duet being the cheapier (much) of the two if you are worried about price

Re: Digital Albums?
I contracted for the regular album, but will upgrade to the digital later on. I LOVE the digital album. Keep in mind htat you will end up with a lot more pics than in a traditional album because they scatter tons of pics instead of one to a page... It's $1000 more. THe pics is my big splurge of the wedding, so I'm willing to spend it.

Re: Digital Albums?
I am getting the digital album also. It is a little more money but I liked the fact that I can use a lot more pictures in my album. I can always use my proofs that I am getting to make a more traditional album if I wanted to later on, but I would never be able to do all the digital stuff.

Re: Digital Albums?
Girls, I loooove the digital album as well, but be careful!!! Just something I noticed when the photogrpahers were showing me the albums, they are using a new paper on these albums, and the paper tends to tear after a lot of wear and tear and are a little more delicate than the old traditional albums....Just wanted to give you guys the heads up, but I loooooove the look of the digital album

Re: Digital Albums?
I have the digital album. I didn't have a videographer- so splurging on the album wasn't a problem for me. I feel like I got all those extra memories, without the intrusiveness of the video.I have had no problems with tearing pages or quality and have the Soho album.
