Digital Camera-which one?

Does anyone know of any good digital cameras? I need to buy one ASAP. I took centerpiece pics this weekend and my sister's camera broke!

Here is my camera and it takes excellent pix. It was only $399. A lot of people think you have to get these high powered cameras that cost a lot but you don't have to, unless of course you plan on using it professionally, then that's a different story.

The Digital Revio KD-400Z is the world's first 4 megapixel digital camera with DUAL memory slots accepting both SD and Memory Stick! It is the smallest 4 megapixel digital camera in its class at only 3.7 x 2.2 x1.2 and weighing only 7.2 oz. It features a 4.13 megapixel CCD, offering image excellence suitable from high-resolution photo quality printing to emailing. Suited with a 3x optical Hexanon zoom lens (39-117mm) and a 2x digital zoom you can achieve 6x zoom power. Having the flexibility of dual memory slots for SD and Memory Stick, you can connect to the most digital devices on the market today. Equipped with multiple recording modes and an array of included accessories such as a 16MB SD card, rechargeable battery and charger, USB cable, and more, now you’re ready for anything.

We have an olympus C-700 Ultra Zoom. 2.1 megapixels and 10x optical zoom. It takes great pics!!! It's cool cause it can be used as a point & shoot or SLR camera (if you know how to do that - I am slowly learning:). My only negative about it, is the size. It's a little bulky.

Hi Beth!

The good news is that most of the brand name cameras on the market do a really good job so its hard to get a bad camera.

The bad news is that every camera is slightly different so its really important that you know what features you need/want before buying one.

I have a cheaper one (in the $200 range) and a more expensive one (in the $600 range) and I love them both...but each one is very different and I use them for different things.

What are you planning on using it for?

I got the Canon 430 RS for my birthday and I love it - I posted a review on it around MArch (after I used it a bit)

Wow, thanks for the great information everyone!

The one shamma posted looked really good, I have to look into those and the like. I'm not sure what I plan on doing with it Stef, nothing really complicated, so maybe one of the cheaper ones are better? And what is the deal with the different pixels or whatever, does that make a huge difference? Geez, good thing Nobody beats the Wiz closed because they would have sold me on anything!

I have this one

Get ready to shoot – and share.
Because with the Kodak EasyShare CX4200 digital camera, we think you’ll be pretty amazed by how simple it is. So snap pictures of all those smiling faces. And then print them out – up to 8' x 10' (20 x 25cm) . The result will be pictures that are nothing short of vibrant, rich, and worth sharing with those you care about. It's that simple. And that fun.
