My Future sister in law is pregnant for the 2nd time, her first child is in the wedding, he will be three and a half and is the ring bearer, and my best friends baby who will be 4 at the wedding is the flower girl. They are the only children that will be at the wedding. My future sister in law by then will have a baby that is a little bit over a year old. I love kids do not get me wrong, however, what do I do with the new baby, she has already made comments that she expects the baby to be invited or even asked to be in the party! Girls, I do not know how to handle this, asside from the fact that when I was little I was not invited to weddings, it was a place where grown ups went. I also feel this day is about me and my fiancee and not a new baby..... All I need is a baby screaming as I take my vows and Help!!!

Re: Dilema! Help!!!
I would just tell her how you feel about children at the wedding. My aunt (mother of my ring bearer) is pregnant and due in two months. She understands that Sean is going to be there because he is in the wedding and that new baby boy (no name yet) will be with a babysitter. Just tell your FSIL that you have an age cut off at your wedding, the only exceptions being the children who are in the wedding party. She may be dropping hints becuase she is not sure. I that she is understanding and this all works out. Bottom line - its your day and she should respect your wishes.

Re: Dilema! Help!!!
It's not the end of the world. There appears to be a lot of time between now and your wedding. That means there is a lot of time to make arrangements. Your future SIL is newly pregnant so she is defending her babys right. I am sure by the time the wedding rolls around she will welcome a night out with out the baby. Even if she is still set on bringing the baby I am sure she can pass him/her off to another relative if the baby is crying.
I am getting married in less than 3 weeks and I have learned a lot in my almost 2 year planning process. One of them is to now stress out about issues like this. Save it for more important issues.
Good Luck!!!

Just be honest. That's really the best way to handle this. I'm sure your FSIL will understand.
I wouldn't want a screaming baby at mine either. If you're open and honest, I'm sure everything will work out fine.
Remember, it is your day! Keep you chin up and be Happy!
