dilemma

My FH is from Philadeplia and so we figured it would be easier for his family if we rented a bus to take them from the hotel to the church, church to reception, and reception back to the hotel. We expected that a lot of the older relatives wouldn't make the trip so we got a 44 passenger bus. Well now the responses are coming in and most of the people we thought wouldn't attend are coming. I am thrilled but now also a bit worried that now we have 70 passengers that are supposed to take this 44 passenger bus. There isn't enough time for the bus to make two trips to the church and to the reception. We've already told almost everyone that transportation would be provided.

Do you guys have any suggestions???

Re: dilemma

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but if you have a bus that fits 44 max, and you need room for 70 - it sounds like you need to rent another bus.

You could ask your relatives to give rides but that seem really inconvienent for everyone.

You need a bigger bus. Call the company. I am sure they can help you.

Re: dilemma

We will have 130 people coming from philly. They choose to just rent a bus and use the bus to take them to ny, to a few hotel rooms to freshen up, then the church, then the hospitality, then the hall and home again.

Re: dilemma

how far is the church from the reception? how much time do you have in between?

If its very close 10-15 min then I say 2 trips is fine...If its longer than 30 min - you need to get a bigger bus...

Re: dilemma

The church is about 15 minutes from the reception. I'm looking into getting another bus. Thanks everyone!
