Barbara I hate dress #2!!!!!1 It reminds me of Belle from beauty and the beast. I'm sorry if that offends anyone but that is the truth. Most people are happy with run of the mill traditional wedding gowns... i'm not and I know you are not. Number 1 is so different and beautiful. It is similiar (in my opinion) to Barbara (BarbieGrl10)'s dress and everyone saw how beautiful and unique she looked. You keep going back to #1 because nothing you have come across has outdone it. Remember, you can't please everyone. There are going to be people at your wedding tearing your party to shreds and there are going to be people who think you had a platinum wedding... you can't please everyone so JUST PLEASE YOURSELF!!!!!
I totally agree with this post. Barb, I don't know you, but you seem like a really self-confident, vibrant woman and I think that first dress would be not only gorgeous and graceful on your wedding day, but it also has that sex appeal that seems to suit you. #2 is run of the mill, #1 is unique and still gorgeous. You're not going to please everyone. Please yourself!
Also, you can always sell it afterwards and recoup some of your $$$. Good luck!

So, I'm usually much more of lurker, always reading never posting, but... I LOVE the ostrich feather looking dress. I think its fabulous and if I could pull it off (which you totally can!) I would in a minute. My dress is sorta untraditional... Tea length, pink shoes.. Everyone thinks I'm nuts but its ME and I say go for it! Your fh loves you for you and you should never hold back!

I like the second dress i think it is soo pretty but if your all about the feather look the first one is a great choice.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the first dress on you. I think you should go with the dress that you love. It seems that you really do like the first one, if you do go for it. Personally I dont like the second dress but I do love the first one.

WOW I can't believe how many pages this thread it!
TOTALLY number one is the right decision. Don't change it. And quit going back and forth about it.
I PREFER the off beat things. Although I am having a very traditional wedding.... I still purposly choose things that you don't see on every other bride or at every other wedding. Those are the things that make you stand out.
Dress number 2 is OK. But like everyone said... EVERYONE has that dress!! I've seen it so many times before; and if not that same one then a variation of it. It's not my style either. I TOTALLY prefer the first dress. It's definately a dress to remember ... in a good way!!

I'm all late to the party and sh!t, but congrats... the dress is gorgeous and totally you.
And on a sort-of-unrelated-don't-mean-to-bring-the-thread-down-too-much... I lost my dad 12 years ago, and wedding planning makes me miss him A. LOT. So, I get that... but I am sure your dad is thrilled with dress number one and probably had a hand in helping you find it.

I like the first one, my dress has a similar bottom and that's why I fell in love with it because it was different, they had to raise the top 1 inch on mine because my chest was hanging out. Since it was a truck show ( 2010 collection) I tried on the same dress the runway model had on and she was flat as a board.

so i do like the first dress on you but i have one question...was that dress in your size because your boobs look like they are gonna fall out..is that how it will look on the wedding day or will they be contained a bit more?
