dilemma... need opinions

i never wanted to pressure my fiance about the bridal party. most of my family are men so when it came to picking the bridal party we had decided to put just our brothers. he has 2 and i have 1. so as for the girls i put my sister and my 2 godsisters. over easter weekend, my fiance did something amazing. he asked my 3 cousins that i am super close with to be his groomsmen. i am thrilled but i dont want to put anymore girls for several reasons. first: i dont know if you remember my post last week about my cousin and the whole maid of honor situation, but after that i just dont want any girls. and even if i did... i let the girls pick their own dresses and the ones they picked are $600 each. i can't ask my friends to shell out that kind of money with this economy the way it is.

do you guys think it's tacky for me to have each girl walk with a guy on each arm? since i have 3 girls and 6 guys? my issue was the first dance. i thought if it's 1 girl and 2 guys, rather than leave some guys out, i'd have just the best man and maid of honor dance... what do you ladies think? tacky or no? if yes do you have any suggestions?

I have an uneven bridal party. During the 1st dance, I am having other people walk on. For ex: My BM has a boyfriend (who is NOT in the bridal party), but he will be slipping in for the first dance..... and so on.

but its YOUR wedding.. def odnt pick girls ur not even crazy about JUST to have an even BP.

also a lot of times the guys don't walk down the aisle they are there standing with the groom and just the girls walk down. .that is another option .

and we aren't even having the BP do the first dance. .

I think it will look nice with each girl walking down with 2 guys. It will still look uniform if that is what you are looking for. As far as the first dance, maybe you can just do the whole song alone with your FH or have your MOH and BM and dates join in the dance.
DH and I did the first dance alone. That was our only 'alone' time during the reception and we wanted to enjoy the full 5 minutes.

I am having an uneven BP... dont worry about it, it will look great in pics.. when they do those shots where there are guys and girls all standing around

I think it would look fine if you have 2 guys to 1 girl.
Def don't ask girls just to be in to make it even.
