Ok so my mom and I went dress shopping for her day of attire, she tried on about 12-13 dresses and the one we both loved loved loved is a mermaid style similar to my wedding dress. I didn't think about it at the time because it looked so good on her, she actually brought it to my attention. Would this be weird to see her in a dress with the similar style as me??

I think they are similar styles (both mermaid) but your dress is sooooo different and beautiful that I don't think it will be a big deal.

Yea they are some what of the same shape but they are very different. I actually like that they are the same style. It makes her look like a member of the wedding party. i think its definetly fine!

your dress is still pretty different from the MOB dress. i don't think anyone besides the 2 of you will think twice about it.

Both dresses are beautiful! I think it is fine that they are similar style. I actually think its nice that her dress will compliment yours. My MOB dress will compliment my dress as well as the BM dresses. I think its a nice unified look.

BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!! I think the two dresses will look amazing together! Who makes the MOB gown?

I think even though they are similar styles it will look beautiful and not take away from you, especially since it was most flattering on her to begin with.
I think we all wish finding a dress for MOB or MOG that easy...i havent even started yet

No one can steal the spotlight from a bride and besides this is your MOM. This day is just as special to her as it is to you and if you both loved her dress then go for it!

That's probably one of the nicest MOB dresses I have seen. And I don't think it's the same as yours. They are similar but very vaguely. I say go for it!

I think that if you both like the dress go for it. If u are ok with you guys having the same cut let her get the dress. You are still the bride and your dress is totally different

I think there is enough difference in them that it won't matter and besides your mom will be in a color not white.

I agree completely, they are not completely alike, they are similiar enough that they will compliment each other!!
