Anyone know where on LI or in the city I can go for authentic Dim Sum? As in like a Dim Sum restaurant where they go around with the carts? I want to try it so bad!!

Re: Dim Sum?
My FH's and his family are chinese and they took me for Dim Sum in Chinatown. I hated it of course. But, yeah, you have to go there pretty much to get it. And I THINK, they only serve it on Sundays. If you want, I can ask him what the good places are.

Fortune Wheel in Levittown and the Orient in Bethpage. both packed on Saturdays and Sundays. My dh and I go after 1 and it ends around 2:30.
Thanks! So they dont do dim sum all the time- just on weekends? This still may be easier than going to queens! So thank you for the info!
they do it during the week, but they don't push around a cart.

Re: Dim Sum?
Chinatown and Flushing has them all over the place. Other than that, I haven't found really gone to any others. My family is Chinese, so if they say its not authentic, we don't go there
