The girl doing my menus asked me what dimensions I want....I have no idea!
The two options are 5 x 8.5 work (half of an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper) or closer to a square...
What do most people do? The 5x8.5 size sounds right, but I wanted to check with you girls

I'm doing 5 x 7, the cardstock I'm using comes precut in that size...
Something like this:
Soo.. I think 5 x8.5 is better than the square for menus

I was leaning toward long and skinny - more like 3x8 or 4x8... Not sure the square totally works.

I think these are the most used dimensions:
51/2'x 81/2' Standard 5'x 7 ' Standard 41/4'x 11' Skinny 41/4'x 41/4' Square

I think I will be putting ALL of my reception information on square paper... and then all of them in a burgundy, square envelope, sealed with our monogram label. I'm putting in the menu, the special songs lyrics, the 'story of us', 'our favorite things' and the 'thank you's'.
