Dining Room furniture

Starting to look for dining room furniture - I like the traditional look (Thomasville, Bob Mackie, Drexel Heritage sets) in dark woods. Was wondering if anyone bought from furiture landsouth and if they ordered directly online or went there in person to look at the items. I know there have been posts in the past - just looking to refresh this topic...

Why dont you check out seamans....www.furniture.com They had some really nice traditional sets too, and their prices are really competitive.

Re: Dining Room furniture

I ordered Thomasville furniture from Black's Furniture . It was the only NC place I found that would let me order Thomasville without actually going to NC. I went to a Thomasville store in NY and checked out what I wanted and got prices from them and then called Black's. I worked with Kathleen who was wonderful. She's at x244. They also give you free delivery on Thomasville, which saves you even more. My bedroom furniture is actually being delivered today!

Re: Dining Room furniture

I ordered my Thomasville set from High Point Furniture Sales in NC and I ordered my bedroom (Stanley) from Rose Furniture in NC. What I did was find what I liked in NY stores (sometimes see it online and then find a NY store that carried it to confirm I liked it) and then called these places and got quotes (and you can do some negotiating sometimes). Then I went with the best price/deal. I had a great experience with Jigh Point Furniture. I loved Rose up until I had an issue and Customer Service dropped the ball but would order from them again if the price was right. I saved about $1,500-2,000 on my bedroom set by using them.
